Interesting players;)

Usually at the beginning of the new season I need 2,3 players for my 1st 11 and 4,5 bench players.
Before,when we had to train our players with the old training system I was looking mostly for young nordgens(18,19 yo)
Now,when many managers use for training the new system I can find many interesting players,20-30 yo trained exclusively at their main skills not the grey skills.
This season I bought 4 such players,only for one of them I used about 15 greens to get him at 101% (I will use him in my 1st 11)
They've cost me 1 T each,because many managers doesn't look at the skills of the players,but most of them they check if they are young,or what stats those players have.
Last season I had 3 players like this,all of them performed very good,especially a 24 yo Aml/c/r

funny, the first thing I loot at on players in the TM, is the level of the grey skills. The lower the better :)

AMC / AML / AMR are much more likely to score than ST these days.

Sure, this gives the advantage of having strong players in their main attributes,but global quality does not grow up so outrangeously,so
to also contain quality average of the whole team

I admit that I don't look the skills of the players I want to buy, only their previous stats but I want to ask something.
I have the impression that all the older players after many games and training have skills like that (their light grey).
I mean an attacker has very high attacking skills and a defender very high defending skills.
Those skills are higher than a 6* (or 7*, recommended) player, young one, with balanced skills.
Only on prurpose, choosing specific drills you can keep a player with equal skills.

That's right,but if you search better the TM you will find players with their main skills much better than others.
For example this guy was looking for an ST and he choose this one,but right above the one he placed a bid,it was another ST (the same quality but with much better attacking skills)

some managers speculate that this can be an advantage.

To me only one of these two statements is true, but I don't know which one:
- global quality (q% or number of stars) matters, then when grey skills go low you need to keep white skills up in order to keep a good average (one can say you could also inefficiently train the grey skills).
- grey skills don't matter, and the global quality value/star is not representative of the actual quality of the player. In this case we are all victims of an illusion when we use stars/q% to evaluate players

This is the player i bought this season (it's in the 1st post(i changed his name)he played 12 minutes in champions league and he scored 1 goal,45 minutes in cup he scored another and today he played 90 minutes and scored 1,had 1 assist and took the MoM from van Basten lol

easy: massive def counter courses and heading is 1% coz it's gray and faded away coz he is old :) And he got ton of MOMs :)

But counter attack course will also increase creative, passing, finishing beside crossing.
I'm very curious how to just train crossing without wasting on other grey skills. I don't think MOMs is enough in this case.

CROSSING (162%), MARKING (182%), Heading (gray and old 1%), BRAVERY (233%*), Aerial reach

*Once there was a time we saw he was getting lot of bravery from MOMs :) And we were laughing coz i had almost same wide defender and i had to TRAIN him to reach his badass DL :D Until hes got from moms :D (friendly race for nothing but was fun)

Following what's being said in this thread, I'd buy him. Even if I only kept him in the reserves for training bonus.
Price would be an issue though. Would think twice if starting bid was 96 mil.
Also wouldn't want to spend more than 1 token.

I was waiting for recommendations,I needed an ST,but they were not even close to my expectations so I said no thanks and I bought this 2 from TM,1token each 😁

I also believe, keyattributes are more important. And I like it a lot, because so the old guys are (really) useful - with old version, you couldn't keep them up at the age of ~25.

Aaaah, I can't add crossing to my player without adding heading.
My player MC/ML/MR 27 years old, crossing ~100%, heading ~40%.
Is my player not old enough or heading is little too high?

No, he is old... If you want ~~1% percent for grey skills you HAVE to train >>specifically(avoiding greys mostly)<< him from young age! :)

Seem like hard to maintain him at this level, he used to be good last season, score in almost every match as MR.
Fast counter attacks add grey skill finishing to him, which is 47% now.
Maybe I will sell him next season, it's a hard decision but it has to be done. :(

Sell him if he is not performing well (he can't achieve higher form than 7) IMHO!
don't forget: form over Q until some point :)
