With the old system, you could aim for the Cup , at least to win it once, by dropping the quality for one season.
The new draw system it's another bonus for the heavy token buyers-farmers.
Does anyone of those who prefer the new one, win it with a 6* team ?

current season: jammed into lower lane 4 strong teams (120+ teams even 140ish% team) fighting for final spot... until @ higher lane had/having lol teams max 103%...

To make cup as fair as possible, cups may be:
(1) arranged with teams from same level, and randomly drawn;
(2) arranged with teams from same level, and drawn according to team average quality (may be for top 14 players only); or
(3) arranged with teams from same level, and drawn according to team average quality, available cash, tokens & even green packs, etc.
I think all 3 methods are fair, and I expect that real strength of teams for cup with method (3) will be really close. Even more factors may also be considered in drawing, e.g. average number of trophies obtained by the managers per season.
Cups can be fairer, but they are not necessarily more interesting.

I have some thousands packs and T but don't want to use them.
I just play with 6*-7* team
There are always methods making the cup, or the game, even fairer. The draws may further consider even more factors e.g. historical average number of packs used per day, same time zone, same number of video offers per day,etc. The objective is ensuring that extreme similar teams will be drawn together.Quote:

well, the +1 lv opponents have access to a higher lv players so it's more easy to increase the q.
I guess he maybe bought a recommended player as he has a good chance for winning a trophy.
