How much token you willing to pay?

I bought an 18yo in the TM. Here is my question how much token are you willing to pay for such player?

Max. 12T. (despite that in some wars I delete my limit and push till the round 40 just for the caprice lol)

Depending on the position I'll go to 20T but I buy most of my players through negotiations and spend 15-20T that way as I always offer the other Manager 4T or 5T then Nordeus takes their cut.

If he has brilliant skills in defense and crossing (basically was more of a dr than mr), I would go upto 25T on auction if he was going to be in my first 11.
Same for negs, 10 + 2*8 would be the limit.

The main question to address for me would be: do I need him ? If the answer's yes, I'll get him for sure - whatever the price. He looks very good except for his SA, useless at these positions. Provided SAs are of any use...

I've been thinking about this for a couple of days, but still haven't done the math. But I think your proposal to spend 5 tokens and then train to 120% may be false economy bearing in mind the scarcity of free video ads and the exchange rate of tokens for rest packs.
Anybody want to do the calculations for me?

Ok I bought him for 25 tokens.
@ khris - 12t I tought i paid too much but when you say push to 40t i feel better.
@ dave - so 25t not bad as you go for 20t.
@gamer5289 - 25t just the right amount but unfortunately he is not guarantee a first team. Thats my problem.
@ gizzmo - yes you right pay whatever price if you want him.
@Spartan117 & Altiplano - I bought him at 95% give him 50green on powertrain and throw him immediately into my CL match here the stat. He is now 107% . First match rating 8 not bad.

hmm 25 tokens is a decent price for those players

if you compare it with how many greens you need to spend to get the same result

and i am feeling how the game develops every season that the greens becomming more important then the tokens

every season we get fewer greens for developing a player

this season ill get only 15 greens and no tokens (off site) in 2016 25 greens and 3 tokens every day

25 tokens was a good price at this point in the season.
The point I was trying to get across to Spartan 117 ( and am still trying to sort out myself ) is that you bought for 25 tokens and then spent 50 greens to boost the player 12%. If Spartan 117 had paid his 5 tokens for his 84% player he would have had to have used 100(ish) greens to reach your players current 107%. 100 rest packs will cost 92 tokens in the club shop. That means to get the player to his current level you spent the equivalent of 71 tokens but Spartan 117 would have spent the equivalent of 97 (5 to buy + 92 to train).
