Token academy players.

Hi all. Been thinking about the academy players lately and thought I might buy one to experiment training (the token bought one). Has anyone got a story to tell on their journey with training up an academy player.

I have had 4 Academy strikers in my 50 odd seasons playing. Power train to 7* and FK special ability, One scored 420 goals, another 550, the third 810 and my current one is on 963 goals.

Wow. How many greens would you say it took to take your players to 7* ?

Train the SA first as training speed slows down the higher the player goes.
And it was under the old system that I used to do it regularly but it was around 60-70 greens per *, so about 130-140 from high 4* to 7* I think?
Others on here will have a more exact figure, it might have been slightly less

With the new transfer system you can pick up an 18 y.o. low 5* for a couple of tokens instead of paying more for the Academy one,

Yes but is he going to train ad fast as academy player ?

well yes, academy player (the expensive one) usually is a fast trainer.
As the market is the latest months, it's good idea i think to sign an academy player (of 80%).
I would do that but didn't have the chance as I didn't have the positions I wanted or it was after the 1st week when my team was ready.
