[Official] Player Attribute Cap

Hey Everyone,

So as SaucyFC explained here, we set out to take care of the player attributes. And the fact that due-to-no-fault of the managers, of you, a wide-open window of opportunity to take advantage of something that, in all sense and purpose, was a design choice that even though had the utmost positivity in mind, turned out to be an option for some managers to gain an unfair advantage. There wasn't a limit on how high player attributes could rise. But as the recent months have shown, eventually this design choice from our side finally took the form of a method for gaining a leg up on the competition. :(

As with any other game out there, the design is not always foolproof. :( Indeed, games are created by much smaller teams of people than the people who will eventually play them. Sometimes a well intended function or mechanic of a game can be manipulated by a portion of the players for power gains. Thus we have decided to mend the situation.

Now. How player attributes work is a very fundamental part of the game's code and as such it's hard to make sweeping changes to it. :( So what the devs did was a fix delivered in two parts:
1. The servers will no longer take into consideration player attributes over 340%. That is - Everything over 340% simply doesn't participate in the calculations. e.g. A player with 700% in speed, will be considered by the server as being 340% in Speed.
2. You are no longer able to raise a player's attributes over the 340% threshold. This is intended as a precautionary measure so that no one will waste effort in trying to boost a player's attributes like up until the fix was implemented.
Note: Point 2 will be implemented very soon.

Indeed, these changes may have come as a shock to some of you but we believe that it's a necessary step. We care for the integrity of Top 11 and we take it very seriously.

With the utmost respect we hope that all of you, our players and community will approach our decision with understanding.

Well done! Any possibility for manipulation of the rules should be stopped. This is football manager game and should be closer to real live as possible.

Only, there had to be a warning about these changes. Many manipulators will be angry that they lost their packs to increase unnecessary some attributes.

Can you confirm if this is something permanent or a better fix to improve the game engine is in the works?
Ideally, the game AI should be smart enuf to distinguish Ronaldo from Usain Bolt :)

So what will happen after this point 2 fix ? Cause the training drills are designed in some way that we cannot increase only some of the skills...For example my superstar player has 4 skills over 340% but Under 500% as I suggested would be a NORMAL cap...I can't train only the other highlighted skills without training those that are already over 340%...So ??? Will those skills that are over 340% will be added to other skills from same category that aren't over 340 or what? I know I will hear some blah blah from managers who doesn't bother to power train their players or aren't able to, but what's the solution about what I've asked? I don't want to train my AMC with defending drills cause those are where he is weak right now as I see no point in doing that LOL

Those over 340 will reduce season by season if promoting. They have said there will be another update to make 340 the max to avoid adding to that skill wastefully. Let's hope that is in the 8th November update

I sincerely hope that Nordeus makes fair compensation for players who has skill over 340 immediately this season. Waiting each season for 20% drop in certain skill doesn't validate the effort we used to build team in a first place, as training over 340 was in the scope of the game until now.

The only thing, I absolutly disagree, is to compensate the managers for "losing" their greens.

I've a lot player with skills over 340% (I talked about that), so it hurts me too, but... I've to say, that everybody, who made the decision to build a mutant had to be sure, that Nordeus will fix this in anyway. If manager are "stupid" to use every exploit for their advantage, the have to get the disadvantage of the fix.


Also waiting for the "how will point 2 work".

Be exploited to do what ? Seriously !

There is no exploit by increasing another skill relative to the drill you run if one of it skill is already at the max .

Actually I think that is great idea! Because it solves the problem with training drill system not being flexible enough - Let say I really love training my midfielders with Slalom Dribble training drill - in a long term, player should reach 340% in passing, dribbling, fitness and speed, but the drill itself should not loose effectiveness when some of trained skills have already 340%, in that case all training effort should go to other skills. The same rule should apply for skills gained after the match!

Assuming your idea is implemented.
If you have Fitness and Speed 340%, then Dribbling can be trained with Sprint three times faster than usual. After that Passing can be trained in the same way (Slalom Dribble), very-very quickly. You got the point.
340% is not that much, some of my 18 y/o already have Fitness and Speed 250%, and I didn't train them with Long Run (the fastest way to increase these skills).
No, I think this is a bad idea.

Can people please differentiate between those who gain an intended advantage through hard work and regular play versus those who gain unintended advantages (aka exploiters with usain bolt type players). Some people only happy if players have 150 skills max?

No bro. My superstar gained crossing and finishing after Today's game and he's way over that low cap of 340% so keep on wasting skills where doesn't count...

I don't quite understand this new regulation. For example What if my players have 380 attribute for passing? If the cap is set to 340 then the rest 40 will be transfer into other attributes or just forfeited?

Im yet to check my players attributes. But if i found its forfeited to cap limit and degrading my total players quality then i will make a complaint soon.

Any manager found any slack or degrading qualites on their players yet?

I don't think they will reduce overcapped skills back to 340%. But during the game 380 or 420 (Attachment 90093), or 800 won't be different from 340.

If the swap % that are above the cap, I really have to ask, if there's only one intelligent person at Nordeus.

The skills drop every season 20%,... so it's they reduce themselves while your are able to increase "hard to train"-skills like crossing, creativity,...

No offence, but the problem is in you, not in the training system.
I can only recommend you to use ITP to solve your problems with Creativity and Heading. That's what it does.

Soooooooo any f news about this bs?? I'm getting tired not being able to f train my superstar !!!!!!! 4 major skills above that bs low cap I can't f train anything important without adding to those 4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wake the f up nordeus !!!!!

Today I decided to try power train my ST. After a few rest packs, there was a message tell me that I should use different players and it seemed the % gained of each train is decreased.

It happens every time you are not meeting the requirements for team bonuses: if you train one player or when you are using only one type of drills, or training is too hard, or blah-blah-blah. Don't pay attention, the gain hasn't been reduced.

Known timeline of Nordeus:

-) next few days -> 2 weeks
-) next update -> up to 4 weeks
-) very soon -> 6 weeks
-) working on that -> 6 months
-) spotted the issue -> 6-12 months

That's a tough point 2 to achieve...Place an ad nordeus to hire someone who can fix all the things you said you will..Many intelligent people in this world, maybe you'll find the right guy and do all this in a day ;)

For hire - someone to milk the TE cash cow!!

I'm afraid I'm gonna be out in 2 seasons when I get my leading player to break club record for goals. Hoping others follow suit as nordeus no longer deserve our loyalty and patience.

So this attribute cap. I'm fine with it. But surely they should've introduced the skills go no higher at the same point. To my knowledge this hasn't been done yet and it's quite a few weeks since the cap. Unfair that skills being gained which are wasted?

Continuing this debate on skills and mutants. I have normal power trained players. By age 23 due to the way the program works and loss of skills I have several 1% skills.

How about a min cap of 50 as well as 340 max. That way players more realistic?

Before my time was there a max skills gap between top and bottom to stop the distortion?
