Why do you send out this buggy release when people have important finals to play? Not very good timing.

The set piece selection is a joke; now you can’t have backups for your primary kickers anymore. Worse than before.

Third skill of players gone. How did you manage to not catch that in test?

    An awful release. Be ashamed.

And why do you spend screen real estate during own or friends’ live matches on displaying the already obvious: who’s playing. You spend an inch of screen displaying that below the green pitch field, but it’s already obvious from the header of the page that has got both teams’ names, and clickable as well. And when you’re playing a match yourself, I’m pretty sure you know who’s who. So: Why ...?

Waste of space, and that goes for the above as well as for the update as a whole. Not at all an improvement.

Yo, I just tried to arrange a friendly, and that made me realise how crap the new formation screen is:

You can’t even view the names of your players in the first team on the pitch, you can only view the names of your substitutes and reserves!!!!! How could you miss out on that, Nordeus. You release a new formation main screen with a fanfare, and then that screen doesn’t even name one’s players. Seriously bad, as in really, really, silly no-go bad!!

The travel distance when you want to change players on the new screen is far too long. In previous versions you could view where you were dragging a player to; now you can’t. Seen on iPad, but I guess it’s equally ****e on other platforms as well. Bad, bad, bad!

In new version, you can’t drag a reserve player directly onto the team on the pitch, like you would typically do if you’re arranging a friendly and you want to field your B-team. Now you must first drag the reserve into the substitutes and then into the team on the pitch. Bloody annoying, and ill thought out - almost as if the people behind this stinker of an update have never played the game themselves.

Result is that since the new formation screen is a badly tested nightmare, many managers will probably resort to doing their dagging and dropping of players on the lineup screen, which, thank God, the non-players at Nordeus product management haven’t yet managed to screw up completely.

    May you sleep restlessly,

From one very disgruntled and extremely disappointed long-time (level 50) customer.

To be fair it’s only in matchup mode that you can’t view the names of your first XI players, but that’s also bad enough. Why?

UPDATE: Wrong, I just tested this during a friendly match, and you CAN’T view the names of your on-field players on the formation screen, which is ridiculous. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, and should never ever have been released.

Big sigh, as in the sigh that comes out when one seriously contemplates if one should really stop playing this game after fifty seasons of fun. Nordeus can take my money, but test their own software they can’t ...

Hi Jernet, can you post a screenshot of this? What are you seeing? During Live Match you're able to switch between your Squad list and your opponent's by clicking the emblem in the top right.

Yes, I know that, but thx anyway. Next time I play a live match, I’ll try to get a screenshot for you.
    Cheers.

Apart from the bugs and blunders described by myself and others in this thread, there’s a fundamental thing wrong with the new formations screen:

When users drag and drop objects (as we do, for example when we substitute players) a simple usability rule applies: It must be possible for the user to view the object’s source location (that’s our list of substitutes) and the destination location (that’s the playing field in our case) without any need for scrolling.

Now, on my devices (tablet and phone) that’s not possible: When I pick a substitute, I can’t view all of the playing field, and when I view the playing field, I can only view half of my substitutes. That’s annoying, but it’s also against established best practice for usability. As a user of the new formations screen, I do my dragging and dropping of players in partial blindness, because I can’t always view the object source and destination simultaneously.

Maybe the new formation screen was designed with pc monitors in mind, but this is 2017, and tablets and phones are in use everywhere, so Nordeus guys please fix the bugs, but also this more fundamental mistake that some designer has made.

And now a final observation from me, hopefully ...:

On the new Lineup screen, the use of a bold font makes player names and other info hard to read.

Its also inconsistent with the Training screen that lists players in a similar way, but (fortunately) uses a non-bold font.

Another user also reported this readability problem in this thread yesterday. Please use a non-bold font on the Lineup screen.
