The new Cup format is disgraceful

I'm level 8 and i'm only playing level 9 and 10 opposition. Can somebody tell my why should i bother? When i was at the lower levels i used to play only higher level than me and now it's the same. Even i only buy scout players i have no chance because the regular 5 stars players on the level 10 transfer list are better than my scouts. Why should i bother to buy tokens if i still lost 2-0 against a level 10 with only one 5 star player even if all 10 of my players are scout quality for my level? Every single time i played in this competition i was the underdog. What can i do??? I'm sick and tired of buying tokens just to be beaten by somebody (who doesnt even care too much about your bloody game) who is ALWAYS at an advantage just because he/she started to play earlier than me?? What is wrong with the developers of this game?

At level 1 i lost to a level 4, at level 2 i lost to a level 6, at level 3 i lost to a level 7, at level 4 i lost to a level 9 in the semis, at level 5 i won it all beating a couple of level 9 on the way, at level 6 i lost again in the semis to a level 11 and at level 7 i lost to a level 9 in the final.

Thank you, I'll stick with my wine, but i still think this isn't right. I won't invest anymore in this game because i feel like i'm being robbed. When everybody i play is at the same level, probably, but not with this cup format when some are in advantage for no reason. There aren't any levels higher than 10 in my cup. Therefore players at level 10 are in advantage just because the game decides so.

i agree with you , nordeus changed nothing we still play against higher levels and payout is very low :(

i won first leg with 0-1 away .

why does everyone complain about payout of cup? if you play hard opponents (aka if you have a good team), then the payout is higher than cl (and its tougher, so its ok).

Yeah its strange that CL is softer than cup, but wayne, its a game.

So what is wrong with playing against good teams? If you are good enough, you have a chance of beating them. Last season I was level 9, but played against level 10 teams through 4 rounds, and beat them all. And the eventual winner of the competition was also level 9. Why do people complain because the are not getting easy games?

Easy game easy win....cause they feel they cant win it they cry. after all its just a game. why they get worked up over it is beyond me.

most people are pissed when they win their league 25-1-0, ofc they are pissed if they lose in round1^^

I don't have a problem with always getting teams at a higher level than me. If you want to win a cup you have to beat them eventually... I just don't think the draw should be 'fixed'. it should just be luck of the draw. its like in the FA cup saying Premier league teams can only play other premier league teams to give the league 2 teams 'a chance'....chuck em all in the hat and draw them randomly. Its a cup and it should be luck of the draw.

same here, I was always kicked by players who were 2-3 levels higher.. then last season's cup was more balanced, still got kicked by someone 1 level higher than me and now all of my opponents are 1-2 levels higher, I'm the only freaking level 7 in the cup. I guess disgrace is the right word to describe this.

the last cup i end 2nd and i had many hard games like this first leg , and yeah maybe i was lucky enough to get into the final but i hope i manage to do that again or even win it !

Well, it seems like u dont know how it is working now.

Lvl doesnt matter. The matter is quality.... As you are lvl9, the highest quality u can get from market is SCOUT which u have to spend 50T. Am I right?
Where lvl 10 only have to spend maximum 10T to get one player whicg is equal to your SCOUT. Thats the matter.
Imagine if lvl 11... 10T for WORLD CLASS.

I was lvl 6 and able to beat all lvl 8 reached semi in last season. The player beaten me was lvl 8 as well and his quality at the beginning was 45, same as me. However, when he reached semi, his quality become 58. He power trained his players?? No!!! He only spend 10T per players and he got 5 world class......

Just to let everybody know.... winning cup is possible also if you're the underdog.... i was in a cup of 6-8 levels and i was level 6 and guess what? I won.... and i'm no token buyer....

In my opinion no one is forced to play the Cup.
Play the Cup means Tokens for Nordeus, if you want at least try to compete buy token and buy scouts.
So for me is quite easy, don't you like the cup system? Don't play it, don't build the team to compete in the Cup, don't waste token.
Whining here isn't the solution, but if the next season Nordeus will see less transfer, less token purchased, I think something will change.

Thank you for calling me ignorant. Very kind. IMO, the cup is far fairer now than it used to be, because ALL teams in the competition, start out as virtual equals, regardless of level. If it is now so UNFAIR, why was the old way better, when quality level teams such as 25q being up against 70q teams, and the better teams were then ceeded to avoid each other, where as now, it is a completely open draw?

Lower level teams had absolutely no chance of winning the cup before, but now they at least start out on a level footing.

To reply to your comment, in some ways you are right, but others you are not. You are right, that I would have to pay 50T to buy a scout, but there are 2 ways to go from that. I could get a 5* player from the auction, who is nearly a scout, for far less than 50T, or on the other hand, I could pay the 50 for a scout, and have him get to next star after just a few skill points.

The way I defend the new competition is to say, that if lower level teams are grouped with higher level teams, it must mean that the lower level sides are too good for their own natural level.

Yes, u can get 5* player from auction even with special ability but u have to w8 for long time. Even the player come out, u have to enter war.....

For me, both old and new system still suck!!

You should jump in my shoes, Played a level 4 player with a terrible team, Lost 4-2 at home and 1-0 away with a stronger team for second game, RNG royally ****ed me over :)

There will never be a perfect solution to the cup format, unless it is restricted to just teams on the same level and quality, and that is almost impossible to do, and even then, it would just be a clone of the CL.

On the auction point, it is only day 2 of the season, but I already have two new "scout" players, bought through the auctions as 5* for a combined total of 19T, and they have reached the scout status through general training (not power training).

Out of 128 teams in the Cup, there are 28 level 9 teams, 99 level 10 teams and me at level 8. Is this a joke? What i am? The guinea pig? The black sheep in the flock? Nordeus, i want some answers.

Nordeus wants your money, plain and simple. They changed the Cup format so people who lose the initial rounds will spend more money and buy more tokens and improve their team so you have better luck in the CL and league. They don't care about your complaints, any issues you have, none of it. All they care about is getting the number off your credit card. One of my clubs just lost the initial round of the Cup too. It's asinine, but I'm smart enough not to fall for their spend more money trap. It is what it is.

PS. i know you all want an easy cup ... but unfortunately you have to play a tough cup , just if you want and can manage the team to win ok !

@ro-edu No, i dont want an easy cup because there's no challenge in it. All i want is to have a couple of easy rounds (maximum 2) to have the time to build a squad. Losing in the first round in inadmissible when you invest lots of tokens in comparrison to others who need to invest very little or nothing at all. I have this feeling that no matter what i do i still am the underdog while others (doing nothing - not even log in into the game) are always heavy favourites for no reason. I had my share of high level opponents in the early rounds when i was low level, now it's my turn to have some easy opponents in the early rounds like in all the real cup games in the world.


P.S. I don't know if we are in the same cup, my team is Liverpool. What's yours?

Well that's the beauty of the cup I guess! If it was like my first season where I destroyed everyone to win the cup, then the passion for the game will be gone very fast! I like the challenge to play against higher lever teams (just kicked some guy's ass from level 6 and I'm level 3). Now, does Nordeus force you to purchase tokens? I don't think so, we are all adults (in most cases) and we are free to decide what to do. If we are out of the cup, tough ****, but we still get going and play in the league and CL (plus train the players in your free time so they get better). Last year I lost in the first round of the cup and I was a bit disappointed but then realized that I had more time to train my players and get them ready for the league and CL (which I won both). And again it's just a game :)

unic winner cup is nordeus!!..the new cup format made for spend tokens!!

2nd season in a row I was bounced from the cup first round, of course, 2nd season in a row with new format.

Won the cup first time in my first season, but I am glad I got bounced. Gives me less games and more time to concentrate on league and CL, which I find more important.

I am lucky this season :)

first round vs an inactive guy who i beat 12-0 aggregate. Round2 i got an opponent i should be able to beat, its 27 vs 23 quality. Everything possible, but I am at least the heavy favorite.
