    The only way to know if a manager is using a defensive style is from the live animation.
    If the animation shows his team build from the back, then he is playing defensive. If the animation starts from your own half or from his half close to the halfway line, then he is using normal or attacking mentality

    I normally don't use it. I use this tactics anytime I face the defensive style: normal, mixed/ down both flanks, short passes, force counter-attack, low pressing, normal tackling, zonal marking, no offside trap

    I always win defensive teams using this tactic and in most cases I keep a clean sheet

    seems you can win easily, i never fail to beat 4-4-2 even facing stronger opponent, and it's kind of relief if facing 4-4-2 especially for important match. i don't know how to explain why 4-5-1 V can beat it, maybe you will get stronger in midfield battle, and opponent ML/MR don't have much effective in counter attack, also both opponent ST easily to be caught offside

    You said both strikers can be caught easily in offside but you also said i should turn off offside trap.
