Pass to flank until death

in this season, i face many opponent with many flanker as photo in league and other than league match,

i beat them all easily, but what makes me feel weird is that they keep playing with this formation in almost of their previous game

they also manage to enter the knockout phase in ch.league (but beaten by me easily) and got top 8 in league too

as example photo he got good player, but why choose easy to loose formation?

can somebody explain what so special with this kind of formation?

I dont think here is anything special. It doesnt give significantly better results, you also say its easy to beat them. I see 99% active managers at my server never changing their formations, I dont understand this as well, but that seems to be normal.

Formations are not important anymore, at least not as important as they were 1 year ago. The last season I won teams +20% using the wrong, in theory, formation against them. What matters now is that you have players that perform great

Notice this is not a classic 4 3 3. with the midfielders being all MC
It has DL/ML/AML, too many players down the flanks. The game considers this illegal and it is not realistic. The team has only 1 player in the midfield.

Whenever I see that formation I just go to attacking through the middle...

I pass to flank by default, but low key passing through the middle destroys 4-4-2s, especially if it's set up for width. But my team formation is compact, that might have something to do with it as well.
