Will my youth player loose a star and become older if I postpone buying him?

Hi. I got my youth player 2-3 days ago and I was wondering if he's going to loose a star and become year older next season. Is there anyone who tried to postpone buying him until next season to check this out?

Yes,he will have 20% less quality next season and he will be 1 year older.

Oh, OK, thanks for info. Not worth buying it then IMO. Should be more careful next time when upgrading youth facility.

If you have token but not money, sign and sell him asap
It's better deal than the bank.

I will see how much 18 year olds on level 4 cost. I've got 60 tokens and 8.4m (+4.8 for league title) and I plan to buy only 2 players next season. 18 year old striker and 18 year old central midfielder.
