Goalkeeper rating and special skill means nothing

Dont waste your time buying a goalkeeper off the scout list. You're better off sticking with cheap keepers. The special skills on these players are meaningless. Penalty stoppers rarely save penalties, one on one keepers rarely save one on one shots. Here's another one. When a team has a corner and another is conceded right away, 95% of the time the second corner is a goal. That's downright ludicrous. I've seen six or seven consecutive corners in real life go without a goal. Call it a bug in the game, but either way, scout keepers are worthless.

Agree 200% .For me in game work good only 2 SA free kick and corner kick.Others have not big effect like this 2.

olny Free Kick SA works , all others are lie , i had 1 on 1 scorer ST , he scored 9 goals in over 14 games i sold him , same with other special abilities ,

so dont waste your tokens to buy palyers with SA as they cost expensive

they all work, but some of them are more useful as they are put to the use more than others. 9 goals in 14 games is bad? Lol

99% for me. The only time in 4 seasons and two teams that I have witnessed a miss on the 2nd corner was when my team missed it in the 89th minute in the 2nd CL-leg semifinal last season

I belive that 1on1 GK ability works only against 1on1 ST. Few advantage ability and for each of that is a counter-ability:
One-on-one stopper against One-on-one scorer
Arial defender against Corner specialist
Defensive wall against Free-kick specialist
Playmaker, Dribbler and Shadow striker are more likely skills-ability, and not real advantage like those 3 which can cause a direct-win(with goal from FK, corner...).

SA's are very useful and how worthy they are to you depends on your tactics, formation and players.

I disagree that scout keepers are worthless. They always have 1v1 or penalties and I have saved penalties before, with and without them but, and I hate to do this, real life goalies dont save many either, even specialists like Reina. He might save 2-3 out of 10, when a regular GK might save 1-2 out of 10. Same for T11.

Plus, they are higher skill points defensively, like positioning and handling. So overall it is useful to have the best possible GK.

Even the best strikers, yes, again, in real life miss 1v1.

Yes, it is against the odds that the best strikers miss 6 "sitters" in a match in real life, and it rarely, if ever, happens....but that is T11 for you: breaking the odds and bringing you real "fantasy" football.

I cant pretend to know why they programmed such ****ty odds into their game engine. Maybe the idiot programmer knows nothing of football and only plays Diablo 16 hours a day.

With the money they are making, they should do an overhaul and fix the damn bugs and make this game a bit more of a simulation and less of a money-grabbing slotmachine. Seriously, you put in your money, pull the level and hope your random result is a winner.
