Nordeus numbers

Was replying in another thread when I thought this would make a good one by itself.

Nordeus T11 = how many users?

I have heard numbers ranging anywhere from 1 to 10 million active players.

Lets do a quick calculation with 1 million active users:

Lets assume that a liberal 100,000 (100K) of them buy tokens.
Lets also assume that these 100K VERY active managers spend $100/month.
That would equal $10M per month!
Over a year, that would equal over $100M


OK, so lets be a bit more conservative:

100K managers spend $20/month
That would be $2M/month, or close to $25M per year.


OK, so lets be even MORE conservative:

10,000 (10K) managers spending $20/month
That would be $200,000 ($200K)/month, or close to $2.5M/year.


Even 1000 (1K) managers spending $20/month is $20K/month or $250K/year


Do you see where I am going with this?

1) Either the numbers are severely inflated and/or exaggerated
2) Nordeus is making a crapload of $$$ regardless of the numbers.
3) Regardless of the numbers, Nordeus is making enough to hire enough monkeys to fix this in a hurry. A good programmer can be had for $70-80K/year to make this "simulation" work.
4) If Nordeus has more than 1K managers paying $20/month then they are laughing all the way to the bank.

NOTE: my numbers are all basic assumptions and do not reflect the actual numbers that Nordeus has. This is only speculation. Feel free to correct me where you think I am wrong.

I have provided several situations, any of which can be true or false. What do you think?

Ok, I am ready to invest. Maybe you assemble a team to write a similar game then we collaborate with facebook and we are on our way to be millionaires :)

I'm a accountant and your numbers are not so far from the truth, I belive that.

So I ask, why they don't buy a good servers for the game and avoid a lot of problens with the players who pay to play the game?

Why do I have a plan B to make my formation team 5 minutes before the begin of my own games, if the servers are down?

This is don't make any sense, that's not my problem but yes a problem from Nordeus to fix that, they've a lot of money to avoid this incredible situations.

As a basic programmer, I would hire a specialist to do this, but I do not have the $$$ necessary to start this. My guess is that this would take upwards of $200K to start. Servers, programming, website, facebook. Just a rough guess, but if someone wants to bankroll this, I would be happy to organize and be part of this.

Remember: competition causes improvements. IF a product is stagnant, the competition will overtake it.

As all the online games, 10 million is not the number of paying accounts or real time live players, but the total number of accounts created. Subtracting alts, F2ps, players living with ads tokens, people who joined and immediatly uninstalled, people who joined who abandoned, i'd say a true number would be about 300.000 actives, of which 150.000 payers or occasionally payers.

I dont know the going rate and I know Nordeus wont say jack squat, nor will Mourinho's agent.

I would hazard a guess somewhere around $25K/year minimum, depending on Nordeus's actual membership and/or actual income from tokens. OR they get a percentage of the monthly income....say anywhere from 1-3%, again depending on Nordeus's actual income.

Malky Mackay would have been much cheaper I hear.

I can live with those numbers, as can Nordeus of course.

Assuming they have 300K active, I doubt 50% are token buyers or occasionals. I would tend to go with 25-30% as I would rather underestimate in this case.

Assuming 25% or 75K active paying token buyers with an average of $10/month = $750,000 ($750K)/month or close to $9M/year.

That is not bananas or chump-change.

I think they need to make $10K/month ($120K/year) to break even/cover expenses. That is 1000 managers spending $10/month. Very easy to do.

Increase those numbers... Maybe, You can multiply by 10 or + the managers and the value money ~ $25/$50 month.

Ok, but my numbers are conservative and only give a possible baseline for costs and income.

1) The odds are good that there are more managers who pay, and
2) The odds are good that they pay more than $10/month

No matter what numbers you plug into this simple equation, Nordeus is making tons of money -- Tons is relative of course.

Now, I have always been interested in this subject, and I welcome all input. I bring this up for 2 reasons:

1) Why the hell can't Nordeus fix the glaring issues that are causing most of the posts in the Vent thread. By my calculations, they are making enough money to hire a competent programmer and still make tons of $$$, and
2) A separate website, say, www.free.topeleven.com, dedicated to non-token enjoyment of this game. They have the money and its peanuts because they already have the infrastructure setup and the game just needs to be modified a bit. Really easy solution to solve the game inequality issue. A game without tokens is a game where you have to be more of a manager to win.

I think there expenses are higher than you guys think. Do we know how many people they employ?
As far as why they don't invest in improvements, it's safe to assume that they have been making more and more money since the game started. People tend to not want to change a lot when things are going well. Sure you can say that if they don't fix things, they will fall at some point but maybe they won't and until it happens I don't know if I would make major investments either.

Calculation only show the number of income generated without taking consideration all the tangible and intangible costs. Whom if decided to jump into it to start another same business thinking that NORD make tonnes of money, sincerely you need all the best wishes available.

IF it aint broke, dont fix it? Thats your method? Very short-sighted in this day and age.

Put some numbers up here if you dont agree with the current ones. That is what this thread is for. I would not think that they have to employ many people to run a site like this. 1 or 2 programmers once the site is up, Someone with DB backup and recovery, and a few owners to cough up some money. Really, I have helped create a site for a mediation company for online mediation. There were3 of us programming, and one of us was organizing and planning.

That is not to say that there are only 3-4 people running Nordeus, but I would hazard a guess that it is far less than 10.
Another person for email support, but they can all provide support for the most part. A site like this can run itself. Everyone has multiple roles if they are smart enough.

Dear Sir,

This thread was not started with the intention of creating a similar game or competition, although competition would not hurt Nordeus in that it would create the necessity to upgrade their current game.

This thread was created to cause everyone to ask questions regarding the capability of Nordeus to bring satisfaction to its subscribers whilst looking at its possible expenses and income to see if it should be doing more in this sense.

OF course these numbers are only general numbers that dont take into account intangibles. BUT it gives the general numbers that should create a baseline for us to speculate. I think the numbers are realistic and could be modified with further information.

Slow day I guess today. Lots of peeps not playing in the cup anymore
