    Yes it is and especially at higher levels it's very common.

    I finished ninth once and was promoted, so 100% probable in my experience.

    another question, if I don't either renew contract or sell my out of contract players, will they automatically be gone when season starts or do you get a few days to renew so you aren't losing a year of their renewal
