how does this weaker strange formation beat my Butterfly ???
i played today for the champion ship
a weaker player (me 24.0 he 18.7) and
he eliminate with 4-0 my unbeaten until now in all competitions
4-2-2-2-1 Butterfly
he was play like

How does he eliminate me with this formation ????
Yours AML, AMR were blocked by his DML, DMR, and your ST is well covered by his 3 dc's. He eliminated you because you didnt have any DMC to mark his 2 AMC's. And he probably used hard tackling, and thats it .Originally Posted by Trella
First of all, there's no 4-2-2-2-1 formation - that's 11 players, and you have to have a goalkeeper.
Otherwise - he's obviously attacking through the center and assuming you're actually using 3N-2W(DM)-2N(MC)-2W(AM)-1, his DMs are countering your AMs and his 2 AMCs and an ST beat your 3 DCs. The game quite often gives an advantage to weaker teams anyways - most of my losses last seasons were agains teams far weaker than mine.

It's a toss up, usually butterfly beats that formation, I've been beating up on it all season long including better skilled teams, your mistake was to change your formation, you should have only changed orders to hard attacking with mixed short passing, I lost today in the Cup away 2-1 against same formation, lead all game long in every stat but just was unlucky he scored 2x on 4 shots vs my 1 goal on 14 shots, sometimes like in real life your team just can't score no matter how many more shots you take, happens.
