Not true, why would you play into his hands with long ball? Either play two strikers and pass around him, or bring a midfielder closer to a lone forward to do the same. Even in England we don't coach long ball like this anymore!

Because no team in the world will use 1 DC formation for more than 5 mins

    I will give it a try,thx

Actually in real world, AMR and AML should have blue arrows
one MC should have blue arrow or he will be a DMC with red arrow
So,451V or 42131 in Def will change to 4141 or 423w1
    1DC man on man,
1 dc for cover, specially if DRL on his side go for support
The most powerful 451 is used by Barcelona(41131) with Messi as AMC

In FM, red arrow means the position in attacking, blue means position in Def
I will not give ARML red arrow, cos they supposed to get ball from their current position

But to T11, I have no idea at all!
Your AM wide players will get more goals and assists with red arrows because they will look to run forward. But they will get tired faster. The experienced players here have given you good advice - take it

(P.s. if you think Barca's wide players have the equivalent of blue arrows, you haven't been watching them - they play very close to Messi, who plays as a deep forward rather than AMC)

If you change anything to the tactics and you lose, don't blame me.

The tactics I have given you are mine.

SimplySimon is right because my wingers and striker assist eachother and score.

You never saw a 3-5-2 flat, 3-3-2-2...??? That has also 7 players at the opponents side

One thing is to play a 3W/N defence line and then go with 5 + 2 players on the middle/attack (say 2 DMC, 3MC and 2ST or 5ML/MC/MR and 2ST: 7 players).

You could have been playing simple 4-4-2 and beat him easy.
Currently playing level 8 (season 8)

    The league:
    1st place level 1,2,3,4,5,6,7

    The Champions league:
    1st place level 2,3,4,5,6 - 2nd place level 7

    The cup:
    1/4 final level 3

when in Defence, wingers must back or chasing/pressure other's full backs

There is a difference between position on field and position relative to your teammates, Barca for example tend to apply a full team press with a high line - their wide forwards rarely drop back into their own defensive third

But anyway, you can't directly compare between real world and game tactics. You can see my response to a post about illegal formations using Barca tactics as an example here

you easily lost the midfield battle with just one player vs 2. This means that your offensive midfielders hardly ever gets the ball and that is why his team created so many chances (especially since you have ONE defender vs two strikers an one AM).

but whenever your team DID get the ball, you should've scored since you had so good players in the offense
