Do stars really matter?

Hey guys

I'm just trying to consider the future of one of my players.

He's DR, and has a rating of 30 which is 4-stars on my level.

However, his defence rating is 43.

So when "judging" him, should I worry more about his defence rating rather than his overall/star rating?

In some respect, yes.. But it's mainly to do with their skills for their position.. Like a 7* goalkeeper could have worse GK stats than a 6* GK in which case you'd pick the 6* GK. Or a 7* striker may have worse attacking stats than a 5* striker, so you would pick the 5* striker

Stars indicates the overall stats.
However: is do not show how well their performance will be on the position for him.

For example:
My GK has 4*, but his defense and physical reach almost a 6* level. In reverse: he has very, very poor attacking skills
So, always check his individual stats before mention his overall stats (stars)
