Arrows TE 2019
Arrows are back again,
Attachment 116093
so for the new players I have some old threads you can take a look.
The philosophy is the same I guess

if you read in old threads red is attack arrow, blue is the defense

Man... "Ask the Devs"... what a throwback. A simpler time when the managers were the most important thing.

This is just their work rate right? You can choose if you want your DMC to have an attacking work rate (Red) defensive work rate (blue) or dual work rate (yellow) right? Similar options in FIFA managing if that's the case.

Thanks nik.
I was just thinking to search over the forum for this. :D

As this is a simulation game and not real players :p , I believe that arrows actually aren't changing some behavior of the players but just contribute some % in attack or defense in game engine.
For every game we see this screen.
Every player considering his quality, skills and position, contributes more or less in those three areas.
With our orders, we affect little more the calculations + the % training bonus.
No arrows is the default.
Using defense or attack arrows, we take a little from defense and add to attack or vice versa.
If some +% in attack will be "translated" to goals, that's another story.
That's all.

Does up arrow on aml says that he stay forward or get in behind? :). What is different between dc with down arrow and no arrow?

In the practical thing, the final result, I agree with the analysis of @Ποσιδονας.
Always keep in the back of your mind the Matrix
There is no spoon.

Now, visually, as far as I remember the old times
DC > has no effect
DR-DL more often see them as wingers
DMC > DC or MC
MR > AMR
ML > AML
MC don't remember having effect
AMs more peripheral strikers
ST no effect
-
I remember liking putting a down arrow on a lone striker, and up arrows on my wingers. Not sure if it had an effect, but it felt like it boosted my possession a little bit as my striker was tracking back to help. Who knows if it actually meant anything then (or will now).

So, just to be clear, new arrows in TE 19.
the red ones are defensive and the green are offensive, right? red points back toward goalkeeper and green points toward opponents goal. Just want to be clear lol
