Thanks to all that commented on the earlier thread when I posted that narrow diamond is not working vs 4-4-2 classic anymore. It inspired me enough to go 3N-0-4-1-2, attacking, mixed attack, whole pitch, normal tackle, mixed passing, zonal with no counter, no offsides. (info for those who want it for future use.)

I wonder if 3-4-1-2 is the new narrow diamond v 4-4-2?

And I have lost only once using narrow diamond vs 4-4-2, but saw this other person lose 2x when he should not have so I was a bit concerned and wanted something a bit more....better, so to speak.

I still dont understand how narrow diamond beats 4-4-2 since n.diamond is 2 mid + 2 down the middle where 4-4-2 is overall better in midfield.

Hence my decision to go 3-4-1-2, which is practically 3-5-2. I want to win midfield and possession.

I have won the Champions League 9 times. That does not stop my desire to win it more times in the future.
