I wouldn't like to bet on who is going to win that league. At least your in there with a good chance.

Balkan Boyz was left surprised tonight in their Champions League quarter-final game against "Galatasaray AŞ", as they managed to collect a hard earned 4 - 2 win at "Balkan Boyz Stadium" in front of 19,000 cheering spectators. The Turkish opposition started the game with a very offensive-minded system and had 3 goal scoring opportunities the first 35 minutes, but GK Asmir Begović cleared the ball away. And just as Galatasaray AŞ seemed to take the lead, Ivica Olić made a breakthrough and scored 1 - 0 for the hometeam. 4 minutes later, a Jovetić corner found the head of Edin Džeko as he extended the lead to 2 - 0 just before the end of the first half. Galatasaray AŞ made a couple of substitutions in the beginning of the second half and managed to reduce the score to 2 - 1 through Mohammed Salem, assisted by Burak Yilmaz. But once again, Balkan Boyz responded well and Hasan Salihamidžić's shoot in the 58minute got Balkan Boyz a 3 - 1 lead. Galatasaray AŞ tried to put some pressure on the hometeam the last quarter by making another offensive substitution, but it was Luka Modrić's long shot who got the Balkan Boyz a 4 - 1 goal just before Christian Arturo Castro scored Galatasaray AŞ second goal to 4 - 2.
Manager -Ljepoje- admitted that he was surprised to see his side concede 2 goals in their quarter-final game against Galatasaray AŞ in the 1th leg at "Balkan Boyz Stadium". "Galatasaray AŞ surprised us tonight, they were far better than we had expected and outplayed us in the first 35 minutes. Perhaps we underestimate them. I believe that we need to have a look at how we approached this game because our tactics and set –up did not work today. We need to regroup and try to salvage our campaign to reach the semi-finals. This result was just not acceptable".
In other news, Balkan Boyz managed to beat the Turkish team "Vanspor FC" with 1 - 4 after goals by Ivica Olić (x2), Stevan Jovetić (x1) and Mateo Kovačić (x1). A game in which Ivica Olić was declared as MoM (rate:9). The win means that Balkan Boyz holds onto first place with 45 points and are 2points clear in front of the Israeli team "Iztik Yan" (43points) with FC Kula at a 3rd place (42points) and Colchoneros CF at a 4th place on 26points. Balkan Boyz will play the Israeli team "FC Niro" tomorrow at home. The kickoff is set at 14:43CET. Later on that evening, Balkan Boyz will play two friendlies against Balkanceros and OFK Omladinac.
Over&Out!
League, round 17 - Perfect Tactics 3-1 I PIRATI
Perfect Tactics: 52.6, butterfly
I PIRATI: 34.5, 4-4-2 classic
Our opponents were playing like a fully scouted team today, even though they were full of 2* and 3* players lol... We did win but it wasn't convincing at the very least, even with the huge quality difference. Maybe too excited over the win earlier... It does put a dent in our quest for 150 goals scored and now we must score 47 goals in 9 remaining games which might be too much. Not even sure how his 3* player managed to get past 7* defenders either lol. Poncet did score though, he's becoming decent now...
Goals: Poncet (9'), Petersen (50'), Mata (62'), Clemente (67')
MOTM: Petersen
Result Just In...
Can You Believe This???
July Fourth 0-1 Equimetal SAD
July Fourth 3N-4-1-2 1st half, 3N-1-3W-1-2 until 70 mins then 3N-1-1-3W-2 112.3 - Equimetal SAD 105.8 4-3W-1-2 until 63 minutes then 4-1-3W-2
We didn't even show up, never mind counter formation failure as such, but its our poor performance that let us down, Perhaps the return of Mr. Hardy disrupted our current form and we played poorly, we didn't really create a chance all game, and Equimetal SAD although will be delighted with the 1-0 win over tournament favourites July Fourth... They should of won 5-0 or something like that. Lazy, Lazy... July Fourth... Seaman spent most of the match busy saving shots from Emenike, Lampard and Ronaldo and kept on saving the corners, Their winner came towards the end of the first half from a Gatto free-kick and it was Norris that gave that one away. OH... and Ivor Hardy got injured in the 89th minute. LOL.
FAILURE. To put it in simple context... we must win the second leg away at Equimetal SAD on Saturday or we are OUT.
Goal: Gatto (36) MOTM: Gatto.
Injury Report: Hardy out for 2 days... Needn't think he is playing the second leg... cos he isn't.
Muahaha...... Our upcoming opposition in the semi-finals played 4 - 2 as well... Seems that the ENGINE likes to add some flavour, just to keep things more interesting ;) .... But the most interesting quarter-final games will be played in a hour between the teams: Besiktas vs Trazbonspor and TanerGS vs Beauteville FC, all four around Q44+.. Trazbonspor are considered as the favourites against Besiktas. The game between TanerGS and Beauteville FC will be a tough and tight one, both sides have a 50vs50 chance to make it through!

Damn crazy result, now we will need a comeback from July Fourth in the 2nd leg. You can do it! A win the 2nd leg will seal the deal for you and take you through on away goals, that's all you need. Many people come back in the 2nd leg, look what happened to me last season, 2 goal home lead and still lost so I reckon you can pull it off.
Yeah... Well July Fourth tends to sometimes play their best away from home for some reason... Remember, Remember Alex Zidane??? I already know my starting formation for the second leg and perhaps my starting 11 as well.
If I do manage to overturn the 1-0 loss in the second leg, theres no doubt I will play a team in the bottom half of our league in the semi-final, they won away 3-0 in the first leg.
It could be, he is pretty active. I've seen him in a couple of bidding wars the last past weeks, especially the first 1 - 4 days. He has a pretty good squad and facilities as well, almost all of them are 7*. He could be a problem and a pretty hard nut to crack. Don't like his 4-3-1-2 formation either. But hopefully we could pull a +2 win in the 1th leg and close it down in the return away. Would be nice to play a CUP final, especially against Dynamo SWAG :p
Yeah, I know what you mean. I spent around 1500T this season (had around 250T from last season). Still have around +100T left and +70 green packs. I aim to keep them until the next season, perhaps I decide to "tank" the upcomming season as well because of the holidays. Don't see any benefits to PT a couple of players if I'm not having the opportunity or being able to follow and maintain them 24/7. Also, I could satisfy myself with the players I already have and not buy any new ones next season (11 + 7) is more the enough. Could easily make it through the League,CL and perhaps the CUP with the player material I already have. But let's see how this season turns out, a week left until the end :p
playing a friendly vs my punchingball team:
http://666kb.com/i/cebtddduf91s582ma.jpg
has anyone ever had a better start?
its 5-0 in '15 btw, with another goal by Sautron :D
edit: after 1st half: 4 goals, 1 assist. I should replace him to make sure if there isnt a 10 rating in this game^^
CL game was a 3-0 at home against a pretty decent team, it seems he was hard tackling in the end, i got several free kicks and one injury. The injury has cost me 15 reds (6 days on a rather important player) but the game was a big step towards the semifinal. Funnily, the injury occured just after I ordered to swap the player (an AMC) for a DMC to bring the 1-0 home, so I didnt even have to change my orders. The free kick from the foul went in, and it all went downward for the opponent, with another corner goal for me towards the end of the game.
Healing up the AMC was worth it, since he scored twice in the following league game against a weak team, an easy 6-0 game with no injuries or cards, and this while my 2nd MC was on suspension and the 3rd was injured, so I had to play with my 4th one.
The opponent tried to play more defensively after catching some goals, bringing an extra DMC and DC, but totally exposed his right flank in the process, making an illegal formation which just resulted in more goals for me (I swapped from narrow diamond to V-Style after he brought the DMC). Some people really need to read the forums.
All in all a good day, 2 good wins in exchange for 13 red packs (15 -2 fair play bonus packs).
Pepp Crawford Injured now in a friendly... OUT for 9 days... That's Pepp Crawford's July Fourth career over.
Numbers to follow...
Breaking News... July Fourth SELL Crawford
25 year old Pepp Crawford today has been sold due to receiving a 9 day injury which sees him out for the rest of the season, Therefore we have decided to sell him this evening for around $75M.
Stats:
S15/L15: P34 G23 A7 M1
S16/L16: P8 G1 A3 M0
S17/L17: P7 G3 A5 M2
S18/L18: P10 G3 A0 M1
Total: P59 G30 A15 M4....
Pepp Crawford was bought from MR.SCOUT at the beginning of S15/L15 in the Season 37 Universal Player that forum members will recall. He made an instant success of scoring about 20 goals in the first half of his first season at the club, then he was hit by injury and that made July Fourth switch back to the Papaleo - Zidane and later Papaleo - Michu strike partnerships and Crawford was only getting a look in less important games or as a substitute for if any of my main strikers picked up an injury in action and he still picked up a lot of injuries in the last 3 seasons of playing and he picked up a 9 day injury which sees him out the team and now is considered surplus to the July Fourth setup since being injured to the end of season coupled with a downgrade to 4*107 and a imminent arrival of a new 7* striker at the beginning of the new season from either a "power trained nordeus gen" or from MR.SCOUT means he would be no use to use next season anyways. All the players and staff wish Pepp Crawford all the best in his future at his next club.
Hm, unexpected result for sure! Don't know if it was because of his 4-3W-1-2/ 4-1-3W-2 formation or just "bad luck". You could try to fight "fire with fire" in the return, or use any formation with a four-man line defense. What is the "counterformation" for a 4-3W-1-2: The 3N-1-4-2, 4-4-2 (Wide diamond) or 4-5-1V?
Well it doesn't seem to be 3N-1-4-2 BUT I know most of us forumers are used to seeing 3N-1-4-2 as a counter formation to the 4-3W-1-2/4-1-3W-2. But I did smash 4-1-3W-2 in one of my league games just recently 6-1 with a formation I generally don't use, Plus I played away so that helps.
Think in the second leg, I can afford to concede once, but I need to score twice.
Ok, yeah! Then use the formation you recently used and managed to collect a 6 - 1 win. Otherwise use the formation you are most familiar with. I always begin with the 4-2N-2W-2 formation, then change or swap players around if I need a goal or two. Helps in 9 of 10 cases.
Put the win bonus at MAX! :D
Raise his def stats. Didn't have anymore problems since i got my MCs to perfectly equal stats between DEF/ATT/PHY
As for our side:
Champion's League, Quarter Finals, First Leg:
http://i43.tinypic.com/5y9emf.png
A very confortable match away in Holland which after the 0-7 in League confirms our good moment despite Hutton's little flexion. An opponent which uses a module we don't like, the 4-3-3, which this time tho was pushed back by our iron defense, where Flanagan again proved himself worth of the main team. We started with Tenma finding the right path for J.Romer which easily put in our first (7'), following by a serie of corner kicks in which we didn't find the double until Ross drew a perfect cross for Schneider who, as one of our stars, filled Hutton's place to realize the 0-2 (28'). In the second half we left our ND getting in Denver to rest the freshly recovered Shirou and Paul Diamond (MC) for Julian Ross (DMC) organizing into a 4-3-1-2 we gave us a higher pressure on the pitch, leading Tom Becker (AMC) to more freedom as he scored us the 0-3 pretty early (60'). J.Romer (yes him again!) closed the game with a perfect free kick (64') and we were then able to experiment the 4-4-2 flat first, noticing that he isnt really that overwhelming like described, then moving into 4-2-2-2 Hexagon with Stein for Matsukase. With wingers we had even more war potential as we went trough the net again first with Flanagan, served on counter by Hutton (79'), and then with Hutton realizing the penalty earned in the last minutes (86'). To be honest Hutton should've scored twice but both times he was fouled in the area, once being a free kick (where Romer scored), and once scoring himself.
Scorers: J.Romer (2), K.H.Schneider, O.Hutton, T.Becker, R.Flanagan.
MoM: J.Romer (9), New Team.
Afterthoughts:
We are in the semi finals yet not knowing who will we face. Apart from us, FC Norkoping (44Q) and Catalunya FC (47Q) all the other teams are around Q33, and yet in the first legs they put up a harsh fight towards those two powerhouses, both able to win only 0-1 with a late goal, and both having as MoM their central defenders.
Market, Breaking News:
Despite the will not to take any other players due to the advanced state of the Season, New Team was obliged to acquire a young talent from the TL due to two main reasons:
-He's the FIRST 18 yo generated player over 4* (Q40,6 at time).
-He's 18 yo DMC/DMR, with DMR being a role we long time seeked since last season being unable to find any decent option.
http://i41.tinypic.com/f07vpg.png
His high value moved us to try snatch him and we paid a total of 5 tokens for him. We can now finally play with DMR/DML without penalties, and we will at this point part with Ivor Hardy next season. With Julian Ross on 24 yo, he will probably be fresh meat to renew New Team's Cycle with adjusted insertions. His first 3 bars was a +120 which let us hope for the better.
Thursday. Day 19.
CHAMPS LEAGUE: Quarter-Final, 1st Leg: EVAIR FC (71.2) v LONDON CITY (73.6)
Result: EVAIR 1-1 LONDON
Goals: Narin 12, Duggan 28
M.o.M: Stig Andersson
We travelled to Brazil for this first leg encounter and came home rather frustrated after dominating the match and yet having to settle for a draw at the end. Johan Narin put the Brazilians ahead early on, but Terry Duggan worked himself some space to equalise not long after. From then on it was a case of missed chances for us to grab a good win to take to our ground.
LEAGUE: Match 17. PTO ALCUDIA (72.5) v LONDON CITY (73.6)
Result: ALCUDIA 3-0 LONDON
Goals: Gusalov 18, Gusalov 49, Mendez 74
M.o.M: Elias Habdas (Alcudia)
A win here would have put us 6 points clear at the top, but then again, we were playing our deadly rivals, whom we seldom seem to do well against. This was the 12th time we have played them in 5 seasons, and we have only 2 wins and a draw to show for our efforts. Two goals from Yusup Gusalov and another from Jose Mendez condemned us to another defeat, to leave the both of us, level on points, but they have a superior goal difference.
OTHER LEAGUE RESULTS:
Phetchana 0-2 Tongfang, Lalas 3-3 Legends, Yakuza 1-3 Jeleznik, Shileno 2-0 Kukula, Danis 0-4 Olympiakos, Real 3-1 Minh.
TEAM TALK:
The only consolation for us after today's league defeat, is that (hopefully), that is our last meeting with our bogie team for this season. It never seems to matter what quality difference or team formations we each have, Alcudia always seem to get the upper hand. We have had only two league defeats this season, and both have come against them, by an aggregate of 2-8. Tomorrow we play at home to Yakuza who are in the lower half of the table.
In the CL, we got an away draw, and a goal, which maybe gives us a very slight edge for the return match. If we were lucky enough to make the final of the competition, our potential opponents could very well be, PTO ALCUDIA.

after a nice streak of 11 consecutive league matches that I won we tied 0-0 yesterday against the second place team at home. it was a pretty one sided match, we kept attacking but his defense held up well and managed to get the tie eventually. we're 3 points ahead after their loss in their last match and today we will face the team that actually beat them (they're third place).
anyway even I got confused from what I wrote, bottom line is, I have to win today.
Good win...:)

Haven't made an update on my end for a few days. Will try and update later on tonight.
On the transfer market side, we ended up selling Andre Steigelmann for just over his market value at £7.69m. I guess it is the luck of the market really. :(
My ST and DC still remaining at my team, though both should be available for negotiation. Quick question again, if I am unable to succeed with the negotiations by the end of the season, is it better to put them on the market at the end of the season and selling them before they age and lose value, or keep them into the new season and take the value hit, but put them on the market in the hope that 'silly season' may get me more than they would have at the end of the season?
i cant imagine many of these posts get read as there are 164 pages worth

Breaking News... July Fourth Press Conference...
Q: You're obviously disappointed with the result last night - What went wrong?
A: I think its our style of play that we are normally used to and our opponents did a good job of stopping us playing our football and frustrated us the whole evening, but they were not entirely dominant as our defence did a good job of keeping them out from scoring more goals, there goal came from a free-kick and as we know with free-kicks sometimes when they are on target you cannot do anything about those.
Q: How do you rate your chances of progression?
A: I would say they are now slight favourites to qualify now being at home for the second leg and with a 1-0 lead, but we are a strong team and last season we performed well twice in 2nd legs when the questions were asked. I think the ball is in their court and the pressure will be on them to try and hold on to this advantage. We have 2 league games to test a few systems out before the second leg since the league looks like its been won by us now and look for a potiential solution, if we can play well in the second leg I have no doubts we can qualify, I think it is their tie to lose now and that may push the chances of progression back to 50-50.
Q: Injuries have been frequent all season how have you been handling all this?
A: Yes, Unfortunately injuries are a big part of the game and we can't avoid them, we have had to let many first team players sit out injuries through the first half of the season we would of normally liked to have healed, but if its a 'key player' that gets injured then thats with the case with Michu last night.
Q: You have sold Crawford last night and will there be many more transfers in/out the club to be made?
A: Crawford would of been sold at the end of the season anyways but it means we lose a player from our squad depth because he was a spare striker if we needed him to the end of the season, you can never tell with injuries/suspensions. But he got a 9 day injury which means the rest of the season so we thought it was best to let him go there and then. There will be plenty of more players to be sold at the end of this season or beginning of next season and we will need at least 4 or 5 new players at the beginning of next season to strengthen our first team next season and NOT a few players we ended up picking up just for reserves because there was no real good players to buy at the beginning of this season.
Q: How have you managed to cope this season in general because of the lack of good players to buy at the start of the season?
A: I think we have done OK, I dubbed the season being a potential "season from hell" at the beginning when we saw we had tough League and CL draws coupled up with no good reinforcements available to our first choice XI and went on with it. We thought Takis would give us a real challenge for the league title this season and Mehmet gave us a surprise when they started 7-0-0 in the league, but we got through a tough start with 4 draws occuring in the first 10 games of the season and both Takis and Mehmet losing form, it now looks like we have came through to win the league with flying colours. Still work has to be done though to make certain of our 17th league title. Champions League though is different, It's a knockout competition once past the group stage and in all honesty being at L18 any team can beat anyone no matter if your around 10 quality stronger or weaker than the opposition, any team can pull a good performance to throw you out the competition at any time just like our opponents did last night. We are "still in" but will need a fantastic performance from our team to make the semi-finals.
Perhaps the most ridiculous result on the most boring day of the season...... http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_HoRejQozbh...sed-smiley.jpg
http://s12.postimg.org/66f57by8d/lolol.png
If you finish in the top 4 this season and qualify for next seasons CL and with 110T saved up. I'd make a heavy investment on your squad, I'd bring in one scout player at the start of next season (22 year old with quality that ends in 4/9, you would get at least 4 seasons from him) and sign a starting line-up of 5* players if possible on your server and have real go at trying to win a treble... you would have a good chance in the cup due to quality links and any higher teams would be most like inactives. Once you spent the majority of 110T you would be able to save it back up over the next 2/3 seasons without buying too many players since you will still have good first XI with natural growth.
hummm can anyone please tell me which is much better to use... a defender with 5 stars and a defensive wall as special ability and a defender with 6 stars(scout) with no special ability at all
