Balkan Boyz - Matchday 20 (Sz.5 - lvl5)
http://i47.tinypic.com/2vnfdpv.png
HEADLINE: Busy day, boring day for The Balkan Boyz
Balkan Boyz had a busy day on a boring day, a day tinged with a league game and four friendlies. The Balkan Boyz managed to overcome the Israeli team "FC Niro" with a 0 - 3 away result, in which Stevan Jovetić, Edin Džeko and Adem Ljajić all scored a goal each. In the four friendly games against FK Omladinac, Angel Utd, Sportski Klub and Balkanceros the Balkan Boyz scored a total of 24 goals in which Edin Džeko, Stevan Jovetić, Mario Mandžukić, Safet Sušić, Ivica Olić, Hasan Salihamidžić, Luka Modrić, Sead Kolašinac, Nemanja Vidić and Stipe Pletikosa managed to put themselves on the scoreboard. According to Manager -Ljepoje- the intention was to "give all the 20 players training and the opportunity to improve their form, teamwork and individual match fitness".
The Balkan Boyz have 2 games scheduled for tomorrow as well. The first is a league game in which Balkan Boyz will play the Swiss team "Colchoneros CF" away and the second is the return in the Champions League quarterfinals against Galatasaray AŞ in their attempt to secure a ticket to the Champions League semi-finals. Manager -Ljepoje- has expressed disappointment over the short time-gap between the both games. But said that "We will probably use and line up all of our bench players against Colchoneros CF and spare the very best for the game against Galatasaray AŞ since that game is of crucial importance in our way to secure future advancement in the Champions League".
Over&Out!
League, round 18 - Oporto FC 0-8 Perfect Tactics
Oporto FC: 38.3, 4-1-2N-2W-1
Perfect Tactics: 57.6, 4-5-1v (butterfly on 30 mins)
We go back to 10 points clear of 2nd place after today's win. A first minute goal from Petersen gave us the lead but from there, our formation couldn't break them down so we changed to a butterfly and then the goals came flooding in. Van der Zande headed in from a corner for 2-0 and then Petersen made it 3-0 from a free kick. It was then 4-0 when Pistov was through on goal and slotting past the goalkeeper. We continued our dominance in the 2nd half and Petersen completed his hat trick with a long range strike. Vittalone got our 6th from a corner. Substitute Mata came on and scored and Poncet's long range strike made it 8-0 which is the same score we beat this team at home earlier in the season.
Goals: Petersen (1', 36', 56' HAT), Van der Zande (31'), Pistov (41'), Vittalone (58'), Mata (70'), Poncet (75')
MOTM: Petersen
Forgot to add, this was the 1th time a GK scored a goal in our clubs history... And the funny part was that it came on a header via a corner kick :D
So far, Pletikosa has been used in all of our friendly games and playing in positions as GK,DC,DR-DMC-MC and ST with good rates as well : 7-8-8-7-8 ;)
As I wrote before from my mobile, league was a 3-0 win, keeping me ahead by 11. It was a bitter victory since "action" jackson got injured again for 11 days and thus has cost me my last red packs. Unfortunately, I have a league game before the CL away leg, so any injury in that match could cause big damage. On the other hand, I won the home game 3-0 so even with one or two replacements it would be tough for my opponent to turn the result around.
In my league, the 2nd place player has bought 3 new scouts, an emblem and a jersey 2 or 3 days ago, despite being 11 points behind me and a few points ahead of the 3rd. He must have spent some cash for that sudden increase of quality, but the investment seems doubtful to me: its very unlikely that he would have gone below 4th with his former quality, and the scouts he bought werent too high quality: An 28yo one-on-one striker with 40 quality, a 29yo penalty kick striker with 43 quality, and a 25yo MC with corner kick with 43 quality. The MC might be passable, but the strikers are horrible decisions, much too old, the one low quality and the other with a bad SA. He definitely should have waited for next season.
My scouted players both turned 7 stars mid-season, one is 23 yo from last season and the new one is 22 yo, both with good SAs and good ratings (now that Im using the new dc/dmc as dc all the time). Im hoping for at least one good scout next season, still need some more tokens if I want to buy two but so far ive done well buying one scout per season starting at season 3.
Keep your best players out the league game for the CL game if its a must win, your 11 points in front of the league so you can afford to play some reserves to protect your best players. The second place manager has made a huge mistake on buying those scouts, they will 5* next season and he could buy similar players on the transfer market once the new season starts.
Unfortunately, I have the best 3 opponents in the league in the last few days, so I dont want to lose unnecessarily right now, but a few players will definitely get some rest.
edit: he couldnt have bought 5* players on our market since we dont have any but he could have bought much better scouts next season.
Friday, Day 20.
LEAGUE: Match 18. LONDON CITY (74.1) v YAKUZA Z UNITED (62.9)
Result: LONDON 1-1 YAKUZA
Goals: Yashin 52, Prosser 74
M.o.M: Julian Prosser (Yakuza)
Another woeful display by City drops us to second in the table and two points behind Alcudia. The first half was a drab affair with the only moment of note, being a penalty miss by Julian Prosser for our visitors. Things did improve slightly after the break, and we thought we might get a win, when Oleg Yashin worked his way through the defenders, and struck a fine goal, to give us the lead. But we couldn't hold on, and Prosser equalised with fifteen minutes to play. To make things worse, Terry Duggan and Percy Robins both received yellow cards, and will miss tomorrow's game through the totting up process.
OTHER LEAGUE RESULTS:
Olympiakos 1-5 Real, Minh 4-1 Tongfang, Jeleznik 1-0 Lalas, Legends 0-0 Danis, Shileno 5-0 Phetchana, Kukula 2-6 Alcudia.
TEAM TALK.
After today's inept performance, the players were called in for an extra evening training session. The directors made an appearance and made their feelings known in no uncertain terms. Tomorrow we play away at Lalas FC, and we would hope to see a vast improvement.
On a lighter note, two new players joined our squad today, one through the transfer list, and one through direct negotiation. Both will start as back-up players for now. They are French ML, Lucas Rogie, and English DC/DR, Ben Cole. Rudolph Mueller and Justin Harold have left to make room for them.
A 1-0 victory over the in-form team who had just risen to third place last match tonight. The cleanest/most boring match so far out of 18 for my team- just one yellow, on his side - no highlights besides bar the one goal. Neither manager there to watch it.
So it's 17-1-0 for me at the top. 17pts clear. I'd have to lose more than a few matches to blow the title at this point. Time to start playing the reserves a lot more? Build them up before next season, decide who stays and who goes?
Breaking News... Extra Power Training Session...
http://i39.tinypic.com/2vl8gpd.png
FOUR 8* Players
http://i43.tinypic.com/k4tnd.png
July Fourth have invested 92T into 100 green booster packs with around 40 green boosters we already saved up to conduct an extra training session on 4 of our key players ahead of our must win 2nd leg away at Equimetal SAD. 4 of our players have been pushed to 8*120 quality meaning Michu regains 8* status since losing it last season (he was once 9*) and 3 other of our younger players have also been promoted to 8* status for the first time... Hogan,Ramirez and O'Sullivan are the 3 players made it into the 8* club. Other players like McNamara and Norris have been given a little push to give them the last few remaining skill points to get them back to 6*
Those players that recently hit 8* were all scheduled to receive power training at the start of next season anyways but because we are in a difficult situation, we thought we get them all to the next star since we have to give ourselves the best chance of winning the 2nd leg without over doing it too much.
Good stuffs. I actually can't wait to get up in the leagues to have some of the real fun!
I love that you rename your players too. I have a striker named Eddie Vedder :D and My keeper is Pat Bonner, with Paul McGrath my most solid DC :D all Oirish lads, of course. I think Vedder's great, great Aunt was from Cork, lol ...
Not every player is renamed, but if the player comes with a good name to begin with, I'll keep it. But I normally have names in mind for new signings and I will use them accordingly, If I buy a player as a reserve for a season, I don't bother changing the players name unless he has one of those pathetic real names from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Man Utd or Man City for example.
Yup, only changed a few here myself, but some of the ones I brought in had crap names, for example- guy I bought recently - Jefferson Polo ... er ... time to change! Just sounds like an upper class t**t! Others were names I just was never going to pronounce! on the other hand, brought in a Portugeezer named Nuno Jesus, that stays! :D don't know why, just sounds good to me [plus simply shows as 'Jesus' on the team formation [which i found strangely cool], and I'm far from religious. I wouldn't have any of those re-named after "star" footy players either. Worth the token to make it right. Plus I like to have Irish lads on the squad. Even if it's only to change the flag. Though ... can't have a "Julio Lopez" or whatever, from Ireland :D
And since I'm actually in the middle of renaming one atm, "Billy" is forbidden! WTF? wanted to name one after my old Granddad - no go. Had similar issue yesterday trying to rename my keeper to "Packie Bonner" [I know I said I don't like them named as real life players, but only when the real life player is a plonker, Bonner is an Irish legend]
In league 1 I renamed a player to "Headtheball" lol, and sold him shortly after. I love that some guy in Turkey has a player with that name, unless he spends a token to change ;)
Actually, Harold has been here 5 seasons (since season 7, while Mueller has been here 6 seasons (since season 6. Both are now only 4* players with contracts up for renewel at end of the season, and as they're both getting older now, it seemed the right time for them to go.
Forget which poster it was, but someone on here has/had a Russian player called Iam Pistov.

F.C. BARSELONA, who is currently hungry for points, and is currently KO'ed at the bottom of the table with no matches won or drawn, and have conceded 107 goals so far this season, is playing on 4-4-2 classic, which is quite an overpowered formation. The team is really wanted to go 10-0 aganist them. LINEUPS & TACTICS
DALE V. BALE: THE TOUGHEST DECISIONS
The manager of AEPRE FC still not sure about his decision of his player lineup. The midfield lineup as of 18:00 GMT+7 are Bale (MC) playing as ML, Eden Hazard playing as MC, and Dale Andersson as an MR.
As Bryan's younger brother's natural position is MC, and Javi Martinez, who is playing as MR is going to be dropped. As Martinez is currently having a very decent form in his games, as both Dale and Gareth really wanted to play this match, the manager is facing the toughest choice ever, as both of them have a very poor form in those recent games.
The manager said "So let's ask the people at the forum to help us decided who should play".
Here are some details to help you decide which player should play as today's ML:

So reply now before 21:00 GMT+7 when I will be making my final decisions!
my league 2nd just lost. i can extend my lead to 14 if my B-team wins against a mediocre team today. still, bringing home the lead in cl quarters is more important.

Race continues :D
I could be in the semis of Champions League in 20 minutes. I have a 2-1 lead from the first leg.
Using 4-3n-2w-1 to counter 4-1-3n-2
good luck... I have an unimportant league game now and my CL game is during the real CL final.
Good luck in your game too :D I'll be watching the all German final. Come on Dortmund! YNWA.
You wont believe this...
I won the first leg 2-1 but my opponent had the away goal. My " world class " defender brought down his striker in the box and he scored the penalty in the 31st minute. I was bricking it all game and accepted I was going out by the 80th minute. I changed to a 3-3-2-2 and amazingly scored in the 88th minute to win 3-2 on aggregate :D

30 minutes until kick-off in our league match away against bottom of the league cake who have only got 7 points, but with our vital CL quarter-final due just after 10pm tonight. Most of our reserve team will be playing this game, we are close to 15Q better than this team on average but it will feel like 10Q as we kept most of our players we intend to play in our starting XI tonight against Equimetal SAD. substitutes will be made according to how the league game goes this evening as we would like 3 points.
My 2nd squad (well, actually 5 players out of my main squad were playing, I just rested the offensive players) just won 5-0. And guess what? My striker got injured... luckily my star striker wasnt playing, and I wasnt planning to use 2 strikers in the CL away game (since Im leading 3-0). I think I need a 3rd striker some time but at least my main 11 is healthy and ready for the CL game.
CL 1/8 round 2nd leg - Sly FC (0) 3-4 (3) Perfect Tactics
Sly FC: 47.7, 4-1-2-1-2 ND
Perfect Tactics: 57.7, 4-5-1v (2nd half 3-5-2v)
Perfect Tactics win 7-3 on aggregate.
What a game this was. Sly FC fought and pushed us all the way and almost beat us but we came back to win on an incredible evening in the CL. Pistov got us the all important away goal from a corner and we led 0-1. Shehu equalised before half time, also from a corner. We were dominating the first half but it was going to be one of those games where our opponents got all the luck. In the 2nd half we changed to a 3-5-2v and it seemed to be good and bad. Hardy made it 1-2 from an indirect free kick, heading in from Petersen's cross. But Sly FC were not beaten and a goal from a corner from Dulev gave Sly their 2nd goal and making it 2-2. They then went in front from a long range Griffin strike and we were in for a shock result. However we quickly responded and Pistov made it 3-3 from a 1 vs 1 position and then we pulled out in front, Nascimento making it 3-4 with his own long range strike. We had chances at the end for 3-5 and Sly FC looked like a beaten team, they didn't threaten us any more and we held on for the win.
Goals: Pistov (6', 68'), Shehu (40'), Hardy (54'), Dulev (57'), Griffin (66'), Nascimento (78')
MOTM: Nacsimento
Ready for the CL final!
