Team av. quality & cup draw.

I've recently gone to level 2 after winning the league and cup in season 1, and since I've bought a fair few scouts my average quality is quite significantly higher than other teams my level, and as such I've been drawn against level 3/4/5 teams in the cup.

What I'm getting at is:

If I fill up some spots in my team with 2/3* crap players, to bring my average quality down, will the game draw me against weaker teams in the future?

No it wont I tried this with buying lots of 3* players by selling off my reserves to lower my quality by 7 points one season from 105 to 98 and the game still paired me up with teams in the cup with teams of 105 quality, It was as if the 3* players were not taken into account.

Maybe it takes into account your first team players and not subs/reserves?

I might test this at the end of next season, after my last game ill fill up my first team with crap from the free transfer market and see if I'm drawn against weaker teams.

Well done on the trophies, but July is right - your experiment would be a wasted one
