july, create a new team and dont farm tokens and only play with the tokens you get normally. And play in the regular league, not one made up of other people doing the same. then you will see the fun and excitement you say

It really depends on your server. People don't buy tokens, yet they struggle in the cup because of higher levels. You just have to be lucky and catch a good draw.

And for the record I do prefer the new cup system, I'm a none token buyer and never got past the playoffs but its much better than the old system.

if you do not assign skill points this season, but at the beginning of the other, you can have a cup opponents with not too prohibitive?

What it was I had 100T in the account and instead of buying 2 scouts that season I decided to enter a bidding war for a player just to troll a different manager buy not stopping in a auction for a crappy 5* player that in reality should only be worth a few tokens maximum on a auction. So basically any extra tokens that the account had at the time went to waste. normally this is a thing I wouldn't do. but other than that I've been running the account on 35T/season or less. I've bought 4 5* players on Troll City so far this season and I've only spent 9T.

Why? I've lost games I should have won, won games I should have lost. Even if I have a totally dominate team and stack the probablity totally in my favor so i have a 99% chance of winning, I'd still expect to lose 1or 2 games every couple seasons.
