Top scorer challenge question

Hi all - i have won the top scorer challenge, however i have not click on "CLAIM" yet, due to my top scorer have low quality and i would like to sack him.

Question is if i sack my top scorer, will it still work if i CLAIM it? anyone have tried this before?

No, you can't add the 30% to another player, basically.
