I got 84% MC DMC 22 years old which I sold and 124% ST AMR 25 years old which I will keep a season or two for sub. Generally these players are never really worth it, no good skills and already on the older side.

I feel like if my 124 % ST will become 104 % by the start of next season, I'm better off getting the most value out of him in terms of cash now and invest the money in another player, either a fast trainer or grabbing a 30-32 yo striker at 100-105 % from the market next season much cheaper. It seems to me he's in no man's land: not young enough to develop and to well balanced to become a specialist with high white skills while still keeping the overall quality relatively low.

Genuinely interested to hear why you'd consider keeping a 25 yo halfway into the season?

Why not? As reserve player he is not too bad. He can play 2 positions and is still solid 6 star next season. More than enough for me to throw him in as a sub or when my striker or AMR is suspended for a game.
Why would you sell him? Unless you try to lower your top 14 quality for the draw next season.

If I can get 1,1M out of him that's almost half the price of a FT at level 1. I believe that's pretty good. And I really don't need him this season. I'm already dominating with great margin, which isn't difficult at level 1.

Ok yeah I play in Level 74 so not to worried about money anymore. I think he will not loose much regarding his value to next season, yeah he is only 6 star and 1 year older, but remember his absolute quality stays the same. He is just worse compared to your level then.
So just for money reasons as well I would rather keep him. You will get some more prize money from the league also and fast trainers only help you as long as you have the rest packs to improve them... I think he might actually be a decent player to keep, but if you are sure that you would never need him just sell at the end of the season, also to lower your team quality heading into the new season.

Good for you mate, this is exactly what i was hoping.... I mean , i really don’t know what is the algorithm behind to assign these players but what they really managed to do is to create happy and unhappy customers.....

Yeah, I'll see what I do the coming days. The rest packs shortage is indeed a problem!
