I have just played my player for the 1st time with versatile attacker ability. This is what happened and what I could see from the highlights.

1. He scored a Hatrick
2. He won man of the match
3. He got a 10 rating. Lol

On the highlights and there was a lot of him lol. What I could see is that his passing and shooting is rapid. He scored 2 goals by just dinking the ball forward a little bit past the defender and then running on to it with a rapid turn of speed. I have never scored goals like that before and he certainly hasn't. His third goal was long range and it was like a bullet. Overall the ability seemed to me to make the player cleverer. He didn't just do the same things. He was trying all different ways to score. I personally after seeing that would not put one on one scorer ability, or a shadow striker or a dribbler ability on with it I think it would be a waste of a ability you could use elsewhere. He was doing all the things them 3 abilities do and he was doing them better than the players in my team who have those abilities. If I was to add any ability I would most probably add free kick. Sorry for going on. Just wanted to share my thoughts. He also scored 2 in my friendly tournament match and got a 9. Both one on one with the keeper. To me after the disappointment of the 7-9 star defender it's more than made up for that. Credit to nordeus for a change lol

Please, when he scored these goals, did the versatile attackers icon show up? That way we can be certain as to whether he is just a good player or the stuff really works.

No it didn't show up. But I have played him in 5 friendly tournament league games against average to decent sides and he's never played like that. The 2 games with the ability he's been a different player. He just seems quicker with more purpose and constantly running towards goal. In the other games he was not like that. I know it will take more than 2 games to see how much of a difference in the long run it will make. But those are my initial opinions and observations. I would also be interested to know if a icon does ever show up aswell, but I don't think it's that type of SA. I don't think it's a ability that creates moments of brilliance like a free kick or Wonder strikes. I think it's a SA ability that make a complete player who can adapt to playing against different playing styles, makes him sharper and has the qualities of striker and attacking midfielder rolled into one. Hence the name versatile. I also think its a ability you have to use on a quality player to get the most out of. My head hurts now lol. I would like to know what other people think?

I can confirm the icon does show up. It might of showed up yesterday on his 3rd goal but wasn't paying attention. But I can confirm I have definatly seen it twice.
