Results for 03.01.2013: 2 very different games...

League Round 17, W 9-0, Home game and an easy opponent in the league = lots of goals for my team, 9 in fact, Papaleo scored in the very first minute to give us the lead, and flood gates opened, Mensah, Papaleo again, P.McNamara twice and L.McNamara to give us a healthy 6-0 lead at half-time, Zidane got the 7th and super-sub rivas got 2 more before the end of the game.

Champions League Quarter-Final first leg W 2-1: We didnt start this game well at all, and in the 7th minute we actually went 1 down and basically it turned into one of those games were we had to grind it out, We had Mensah unavailable for this game and maybe that could be part of the reason we struggled, Papaleo was fouled in the box and put away the penalty to equalise and Zidane got the winner in the 80th minute a moment before he was subbed off the field. The rival manager was present at this game and credit to his team for giving it their best shot at this and making sure we need to play in the second leg to win the tie.
