Yup, you’re right. Average quality is the main decider. In fact i noticed well trained teams having less of an advantage against similar quality untrained teams with recent updates. 40 to 50 quality stronger in draws is common though, apparently thats what some players want since many are against manipulating. Anyway, you probably drew him because you are doing well and winning trophies, it gets tougher with consecutive trophies. Give up a few trophies or take a break from the game and it gets easy again.
