Welcome to the forum,
Your Facebook Friends are automatically added in your firiends list, then, you can search for Friends by using the FA tags.
Go to Friendly Associations screen and search there the association they have with the # code, so then you can check their association group and invite them as Friends.
Of course if they aren't inside a FA It will not be posible to do these steps.
