Shadow striker is best suited for AMC players, sit behind the main strikers and pop-up and score goals as if they were a striker.

Like you, I'm trying to build a legend player for a bit of fun and I have being using a method called "power training", This is me buying some green rest packs with tokens, and feeding them to my players and then hitting them with a train, train, train, method, I use all 3 types of training and set it to hard, however you do get injuries doing this (5 yesterday, 1 on monday, training 6 players on average), so you will need some red medic packs. A player on average would gain around +2 quality a day, so it may take a week to make a legend by doing power training, this does take a good bit of time doing all this but it is twice as effective than going straight to personal trainer and hitting "Legend" instantly. I bought a 6*89 scout player and in 2 days hes now 7*93, The only upside of personal trainer is you get all those skill points instantly.

I "power train" my players for sale, ie bring them to the 4s or 9s eg quality 34, 44, 39, 49. If I have intention of getting rid of them so as to free up space.

Yes with trial and error I worked out the power training will get you around twice as many skill points that using personal trainer, It just takes a good bit of your time constantly training players for a few days.

With 22/23/24 year olds I got 139 skill points from 350 packs (322 tokens), the most skill points you can buy with personal trainer with 322 tokens is 80. but thats usually when upgrading players from like 4*/5*, for getting from 8* to 9* the personal trainer was asking for 80 tokens for every 8 skill points.
