I think the ideal tactics in my team would be:

GK: one on one stopper/penalty stopper
LB: penalties
CD: aerial defender
CD: aerial defender
RB: defensive wall
LM: dribbler
CM: playmaker
CM: playmaker
RM: corner taker
CF: one on one scorer
CF: free kicks

Think 2 centre halves should have aerial defending ability, (woodgate and ferdinand at leeds back in tha day ), and 2 central midfielders should have playmaker ability. Certainly need a good penalty and corner taker. And may aswel heave a one on one scorer,defensive wall and dribbler in there as I'm sure they must have some benefit.
