Im facing a guy who has a far better team than mine with a 4-1-4-1 formation and I was thinking if the recommended 3W-4-3 is a good idea considering I dont have and DMC for the 4-2-2-2 Hexagon.

Hello peeps, i was researching and it says 4-3-2w-1 ( its seem to be called 4-5-1 v-style) countering mine 4-4-2.

Hi, I played a cup match against a weaker team than mine, not much weaker, but weaker. Plus, it had a weird looking tactic. Playing at home, I got an unbelievable 1-4...probably it is not possible to recover from this, but would like to try. Below i will put his tactics, as well as the beating he gave me. He has a world class striker with 37, but that is the only player that's better than mine.
My team is Valderrama's and i switch several times my tactic during the game. Started with 4-5-1 V style, it did not work. Then 4-3-2-1 was even worse. Finally, in with one more striker instead of right defender and quit the game; I managed to score one goal and match stats got more even.

Interesting that nowhere in this table (which I do appreciate, by the way!) you are advised to play 4-1-2-1-2 (wide diamond). At the same time, elsewhere on this forum, that very formation is named the best one overall. And I have been quite successful using it myself. Hmm...
Anders its a very useful formation that is often neglected. unfortunately it does have hard counters like 3n142
