how to beat 4-1-2N-3?
Playing Cl final against this:
--------ST-ST-ST-------- -------21-34-21-------
-------------------------- -----------------------
---------MC--MC-------- --------19--21--------
-----------DMC---------- -----------19---------
--DL----DC----DC-----DR-- ---25---21--25---20--
I see several posts saying to play either 4-4-2 classic with motivated DL/DR or 4-1-4-1 heavily motivated DL/DR/DMC/MR/ML.
My team overall is better but we are ranked almost equal in terms of quality and value.
If I line up with 4-1-4-1:
----------26-----------
----------------------
21(up)--23--21---20(up)
----------21(up)--------
22(up)--27--34---24(up)
I think I can match him easily and have more possession but my concern is his 3 STs.
My question is this: Is it better to go with 4 on the backline with 2 DCs with the DMC in support
OR
go with 3 DCs on the backline with the DMC in support and go with a 3-1-5-1?
Do the DCs match the ST man for man? in a 4 man backline, there are only 2 DCs vs 3 STs.
With his formation, he will play up the middle, counter attack with long passes.
I was even thinking of 5-4-1 and attack the flanks.
-------------ST-------------
-AML------------------AMR-
--------MC------MC--------
----------------------------
-DL----DC---DC---DC----DR-
I can play ANY formation with quality, but I would prefer to play the best formation possible being a CL final.
Can someone please give me there thoughts?
Cheers!
