About completed passes

The percentage of completed passes has a large cosmetic component to it. It only matters if "short", "mixed", and "long" passes can counter or be countered by something else in the orders and/or formation. Beyond that, i'm pretty sure the % completed is cosmetic.

Today in the champions league, I completed 83% of my passes, despite using only short passes. Yesterday in league, I completed 76% of passes despite using mixed passes for half the match (was 74% at the half). The scores of these games were 8-0 and 6-0 in my favor respectively.

My back four have passing skills of 21%, 1%, 1% and 1%. The hit the ref, pass it out of bounds, blast it onto the moon, just don't hit teammates.
