My position in the Champions League

Hello everyone. I had this problem today. Is there any logical explanation?

I have culminated with the same amount of points and goals as the opponent, and even with better goal difference. Even so I have finished in 2nd position.

You can qualify for the Champions League, if you won it the previous season, no matter which place are you in the League if you won the Ch. League
Like, I finished 9th last season in the League, but won the Ch. League, and I was able to participate in the next season's Ch. League

But the discussion here is regarding the group stage positions, when 2 teams with same points, but the team with better goal diff' is in worst position, we have these kind of questions.

The answer is just that the position inside the group stage, when 2 teams have same points, is obtained checking out the 1vs1 between these 2 particular teams and not the general Goal Difference.

this is already an implement and not suggestion, but I disagree as it promotes professional tanking.
