4-4-2 narrow diamond or 3-1-4-2 flat, attack from the middle

I think narrow diamond is easy to beat with wide diamond. Wide diamond can focus passing down both flanks while narrow diamond can only go through the middle where there are defenders and a DMC in the way. Of course it depends on tactics and quality though.

As a wide diamond manager myself, I tend to struggle against teams that pack out the midfield (such as a flat 5 or flat 4 with DMC). That said, being only level 2 I haven't struggled that much yet

To be honest I'd just stick with my wide diamond. I'm not too bothered about countering opposition formations and would much rather stick to my own. Furthermore, I don't have enough MCs to be able to flood the midfield like I suggested. If I HAD to switch to another formation to counter a wide diamond with my current team and the positions I have available, I'd either go 4-1-3W-1-1 or 4-1-4-1. I've heard 4-5-1 V also works well.
