Tomorow i am playing a game for the cup.

He is playing 3w-1dmc-1mc-2(amr-aml)-3st

Its a bit weird, isnt it?

Any thoughts how to counter him?

433. I am using that a lot recently. Seems to work really well against 3w defence.

Attack mentality, long ball, whole pitch pressing, no counter. If your midfield is better then him, do mix instead of long ball.

put your most defensive mc in the middle and offensive mc to the sides. No arrows.

You should find he wont be able to hold onto the ball at the back and you will get a lot of counter attacks even tho you are not playing counter, but getting these chances because he is losing the ball to you with you high pitch pressing.

The only thing to be aware of is that whole pitch pressing tires your players out and you can tell from the match when he suddenly start getting loads of chances around 60 70 minuts mark.

That tend to happen more with 3n defence tho but if it does happen go 442.

442 should also do well against that formation.
