4-5-1 vstyle, or ND through the middle, depending on the quality of your players. In any case, 4 defenders and 1 DMC are necessary if the quality of your team is similar to his team.

This will be my opponent in cup finals.

He has better players so I would like to start match with 1 ST.
What do you think about this formation:
    --------st--------
    ---mc--mc--mc--
    dml---dmc---dmr
    ----cb--cb--cb---
or maybe amc and 2mc instead of 3mc?

Use 3-5V-2 against this formation. If you really need only one striker use 4-5V-1, but I've only tested the 4-5V-1 against a much weaker team. 3-5V-2 is solid against 4-2-3-1. I run red forward arrow on DMC and blue defense arrows on both MC.

Wondering if I took the time to type out that fancy formation? Nah, check out my python script!

His team is one level higher and has better players, thats reason why I would use 1 ST and defending formation. What do you think about 5-2mc-aml/amr-1?

5-2-2w-1 wouldn't be a whole lot different than 4-5V-1. You could start with that and move the DC/DMC up midway if need be.

Personally a I feel a 1 point difference is not enough to justify shying away from two strikers. Remember that value is an average, so if either of you don't play your absolute best 11 players that difference will change. I'd only worry if his average is a full star (5) above yours.
