In essence most top teams use 1 striker & 1 no 10 (Man Utd, Man City) - conveniently referred as 4-4-2, in T11 this is probably 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1.

or 1 striker and 2 very advanced wingers (Portugal, Arsenal, Bayern Munich) - conveniently referred as 4-3-3. In t11 this is probably a 4-3-2W-1

or just have one striker (Pass the ball to Messi)

The only time I've seen any team use 3 out and out strikers is Man Utd vs Tottenham after they went 3-0 down at HT and CR7 (converted), WR & Tevez were all camped in the last 3rd....

In T11, the use of seemingly wingless 4-2-1-3 is probably the type of formation deployed by Arsenal this season. And the wingers are basically the two outer strikers and DR/DL.

Well that's just me trying to rationalise T11 formations. Anyway, there is no Super formation, just Super players & quality of opponents faced.

I've seen 4-3W1-2 dominate leagues, 5-3-2, 4-4-1-1...different leagues have different "Super" formation. It all clicks if you happen to get the right players.

I probably would've dominated my league with 4-4-2 hexagon but was overwhelmed by my rival who mirrored my 4-4-2 hexagon midway in the season and now leads my league. Lost to him when I needed a win.

Yes, exactly this is what I meant. When teams have 4-3-3 formations, the farthest 3 are...
    «Left Winger - Striker - Right Winger»
...never 3 goal hangers, because in Top11 it doesn't matter what position of those 3 possible in the box you place strikers in, they are hangers. It's like stowing Messi+Lewandowski+Torres in the box and showering balls to rebound on their heads and get in... lol.

Maybe the game needs 2 new positions for winger-strikers to add a minimal touch of reality? because teams winning with 3ST makes no sense at all.

Then again why am I debating Top11 football, when one of the best formations has been this...

    -------ST-ST-------
    --------AMC--------
    -ML-----MC-----MR-
    --------DMC--------
    -----DC-DC-DC-----

    lol

In holland we still use 433 to describe a style with 1 central striker and 2 wingers.

In the last decade, the NL have passed qualifications with flying colours, one of them with 10W-0D-0L...

And if I remember well... last World Cup the Netherlands won every game except the Final against Spain... in Extra-Time... by 1 lucky goal at 116m down to 10 men. 5 minutes more and Spain would have gone home like Brazil, Spanish are traditionally shaky in penalty shootouts.

Have we been seeing the same TV? lol

I'll admit we haven't got the strongest squad atm, but what can you expect that from any small country with a league like ours. Our track record hasn't been that bad over the last 10 years though. I would wager to say that a lot of the succes from Spain and Barca in recent years, has been founded upon the football genius of a Dutchman. I'll let you guess who.

The CL is just a tool for the big clubs in the big leagues to secure their stronghold on European football and benefits no one but the rich. And quite frankly, it's getting boring compared to the old EC1 2 and 3. The fact that practically no club from small traditional footballing nations like Denmark, Hungary Holland, Romania etc will ever win the CL is because of the Bosman arrest which allowed teams to field 11 foreign players and has absolutely nothing to do with anything else.

4-2-1-3 never success for me in T11, best success i had with asymetrical formation:

    --st---st---
    ----aml-----
    -----------ml-
    dml--dmc------
    dl--dc--dc--dr

No, let's not, lol. Perhaps you hit a tiny nerve, as I long back to the times where Steaua Bucharest, Partizan Celtic, Rangers and Ajax to name just a few, were still able to compete for the top with predominantly domestic players.
