Hello, sorry 4 your time, but i just saw a system and it's not up with the rest of them. Not even like those up, but have no system to counter. One question, this person plays a 4-2-2-2 but not hexagon. 4 defenders, 2 MC's. 2 AMC's and 2 Strikers. Can someone tell me how to counter that? I'd be more than grateful.

3N-2(DML/DMR)-3N-2 doesnt work for 4-3n-2w-1 for me , i lost 7 out of 10 using this formation,
not any other formation seem to work well against 4-3-2-1, plz help.. I have semi final and the opponent is 21 against my 20 quality.. he is using 4-3-2-1

What is the difference between a 3W-4-3 and 3N-4-3? Sorry I am still quite new to the game

3w means wide like,

if you dont write anything , it means there is not something counter yet?

i.e 3W-2DMC-4-1 there is not something or it needs to play 4-5-1 v style like the above?

With the 4-5-1 V motivated, I won 4-0, changed to 3-1-4-1-1 in the 2nd half and lose 2-1 with that formation. So I think it's better for 4-5-1 V...

3-1-4-1-1 was dodgy, they had so many chances and possession bar was leaning towards opponent's favour.

Hi.I'll be glad to add something in this thread cuz I think it's awsome.I play this game from 3 years and I changed a lot of formations so I think I can help for something.
For first : 4-5-1 V style is very easy to counter with 4-3N-1-2.There is no logic but it's true at 100% percents.4-1-3N-2 is countering this formation too.
4-4-2 I counter with 4-4-1-1
I think 4-5-1 V style is not countering with 4-3N-3,it's vice versa.
4-1-3W-2 is countering with narrow diamond or 4-3N-2W-1.The other formations in the table are right :)

How to counter
2 DC
1 DML 1 DMC 1 DMR
2 MC
1 AMC
2 ST

Against 4-4-2 Classic, use 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond. Orders are as follow

Mentality: Attacking
Focus passing: Through the middle
Pressure: Own half

Beat my opponent in CL Final with a higher rating with 2-0. I had one a player (MR) off position (MC)

playing against the 4-1-4-1 formation, I've read some of the counter formation tips and from my understanding, typically you want as many midfielders as your opponent but the suggested counter is 3W-4-3 is one short. Noticed a few people suggest the DMC's main value is to counter an opponents AMC, otherwise the DMC is fairly useless. Is this why the 3W-4-3 should be effective against the 4-1-4-1?

Opponent had this formation wid avergae quality 28.1 (3N-4-1-2) and i used this formation as listed in table and my average quality was 31.6 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond.

but i lost 4-2, can any1 tell wt othr formation i can try...??

Just played someone in the cup with 4141, first leg lost 3-1 away with 3w-4-3. tried same formation at home and was 2-0 down in little over half an hour, switched to 352 flat at half time and won 3-2.

Counters on here no longer valid in my book, been coming here for months, and good results, last season loss after loss no promotion, this season loss after loss, latest match match today against 442 hexagon used 442 classic, was being dominated without shot on goal, changed to 3412, they had player sent off at nil nil then they put 3 goals past me I watched they didn't I'm not a rookie I'm level 15 would've been 16 if not for poor season last time, my team is good but nothing is working for me anymore
