Table of Counter Formations - What to use?

Hi folks!


My opponent for tomorrows match uses this formation:

---- ST ---- ST ----
---- ---- AMC ---- ----
---- MC ---- MC ----
DML ---- DMC ---- DMR
---- DC ---- DC ----
---- ---- GK ---- ----

It looks like 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond, but with DML/DMR intead of DL/DR.

Do you have any experience with playing against such a formation?
I think tou normally need 3 defenders in the back row, so I will see if this formation will break the rules and opponet will have only 20% of ball possesion. Since I have no experience (after more than 9 seasons) with playing against such a formation I will use 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond, because my team is got used to play in this formation. And we will see... but if you have any suggestions, you are wellcome

Yeah, I think so So I hope he will not change this formation. At least, it will be proof of formations rules

OK, it looks you are completely right - that guy has played today's match with this formation, receives only 20% of possesion, and he has lost 0:4. So, I am afraid he will change this formation, but I am not afraid of playing against any formation

The formation you ask for is called 3N-5-2 V-Style.

You could counter it with these 2 formations:
4-3N-2(AML/AMR)-1, 4-2-2-2 Hexagon

By reading forums here, I've got feeling the Hexagon formation is very popular these days.
