Got an important game tomorrow... I will be playing away and the opponent is set up in this 4-2-3N-1 formation:

    4 (DL DC DC DR)
    2 (DMC DMC)
    3 (MC MC MC)
    1 (ST)

His rating is 14.2 while my rating is 17.5, I set my team formation as 3-4-1-2:

    DC DC DC
    ML MC MC MR
    AMC
    ST ST

His MC and ST are his stronger players but the rest are pretty average, I was wondering if my formation is appropriate for tmr's match. Also one last question is, I have a DL with aerial defender trait rated 20... should I swap him with a 16 rated DC and play him out of position at DC or keep the 16 rated player in his natural position?

Any input on the above would be appreciated! Thanks

    I'm playing against a 4-3N-3 in the CL Semifinals. My team's rating is 17.4 his team's 15.6.

I used a 4-5-1 flat and lost 1-0 in the first match. Second match I'll use 4-1-4-1. Is there a better formation to use? How to set the orders? I was thinking of, attacking mentality, both flanks, own half, normal tackling, short passing, zonal, no counter, no offside.

I'll set my arrows on the wingers.

    Is that setup ok?
I need to score some 2 goals and get none to win...

    thanks!

it could be nice if all the terms would be explain.
V style, butterfly, flat, and so on...

it's not so easy to understand....

Butterfly is a formation thats getting more common with players...

    -----ST-----
    AML-----AMR
    --MC---MC--
    DML-----DMR
    --DC-DC-DC--

With the 6 players in bold that appear to make a butterfly shape

    4-2-2-2 Hexagon is this

    ----ST--ST----
    AML-------AMR
    ----MC--MC---
    -------------
    DL-DC-DC-DR

Your 6 midfielder/forwards appear to be a hexagon shape.

    And this one below:

    ------ST------
    -----AMC-----
    --MC-MC-MC--
    --DMC---DMC--
    DL----DC----DR

Is called the Effiel Tower because your formation on the tactics grid looks like the shape of the Effiel Tower

    thanks!

It's a problem if I put an ST in the position of AML?
does it play badly or something like that?

You lose a little bit of possession.

but if I follow the game, and the stadio is full, it doesn't really matter?

    the question is this.
is better to play using a counter formation with a player misplaced, or is better to play a normal formation with all player in their right place?
