I think m8 that 3-2-2-2-1 ( 5-2-2-1) will work better than narrow diamond
---------ST---------
AML------------AMR
-----MC-----MC----
DML------------DMR
----DC--DC--DC----
Normal mentality/Attack ... down both flanks/Always ... mixed passing ... own half / whole pitch as you want ... counter attack/if you used own half... no offside trap/always because he has 3 AMR/C/L ... zonal defense ... red arrows at DMR/L & AMR/L.
you are absolutely right and I'm thinking in closing this thread .. I'm too much bored ... do you think I'm happy for answering this to much questions? you are wrong ... do you think that I do this for any benefit? also you are wrong ...
and finally I got my super reward which it is
and this
. [/SIZE]
For everyone : you already have 81 pages from the usual unusual formation and how to counter it I'm done .
I'll not answer any questions anymore ...
For the Moderators : pls close this thread I finished what i want to say and no more answers .
Finally - you get it Adel - good for you man - I was really sorry to see you work so hard for nothing.
I really appreciate your hard work and I personally learned very much from this conversation, the difference was that OI did my home work and my research without asking. You are right 99% of the time - what I used from your advice works 99% of the time - like anything else there are exceptions to each rule, but the main point is that any tactic can be counter with a good chance of winning.
I have experienced all this season and as result I am nr 2 in my league just one point behind.
I'm still in the semi finals in Cup and Champ league wining most of the games.
Thanks again for your work Adel - you are a hardcore football fan...
not really my team quality is better them him..mine 44.6 him 40.9....this is the game statistics

Thanks for your hard work Adel, it was much appreciated :)
EDIT: Because I got requests from a few members that this topic should be opened and that they will continue to help out in it, since Adel doesn't have enough time to manage this topic, I am opening the topic so that people can continue asking questions in one topic :D
Any one can help me how to beat this formation : 4-3-1-2 wide
--St---St--

I also use some tactic like: 4-1-2-1-2 ( Narrow Diamond ) or 4-1-4-1 But those 2 here were useless !

I would like to know how to beat 4-1-3-2 with 3 MC's

-MC-MC-MC-
----DMC----

Anyone can help me please ?
He wanted to know how to beat him and this formation type Diamond but so that the MCs are with ML and MR
The formation is:
----ST----ST--

AML--------AMR
--MC-MC-MC---
-DL-DC-DC-DR
Orders:
Mentality: Normal/Attacking (normal if weaker/same quality and attacking if you're better)
Focus passing: Down both flanks

Marking: Zonal
Force counterattacks: NO
Offside trap: YES
4-5-1 V with motivated AML and AMR

Orders
Mentality: Normal
Focus passing: Down both flanks
Pressing style: Own half
Tackling style: Normal
Passing style: Mixed
Marking: Zonal
Force counter: NO
Offside trap: NO
Best Thread I've read so far, Thanks a lot
By the way, I lost to a guy with the rating sightly lower than I, (25.9 vs 27.1)
his formation is:
----ST----ST---
AML---------AMR
----MC----MC---
-------DMC-----
DL-----DC-----DR
while I've been playing 4-5-1 (V), I don't know what's went wrong,
can anyone please help?
Thanks.
He had prolly setted the dmc with a down arrow, turning his formation in something like a 4-2-2-2. You should post match stats so that we might understand where he broke through your defence and how did his own defenders block yours. Anyway yours wasn't a winning formation, quite normal that the game turned out quite open to any result:
his AML-AMR-ST-ST against your defence were 1vs1, assuming that your DMC was up-arrowed. Or 4vs5 if it wasn't.
You had AML-AMR-ST against three defenders, 4 if the DMC was down-arrowed. Same as before.
MC-MC against MC-MC.
....and thus the smallest detail(luck asw) made the difference.
Thanks for the reply, Giond
I got your point, here with the match stat.
(The right side is my stat)
Possession
42 - 58
Total shots
14 - 20
Shots on target
9 - 13
Shot %
44 - 31
Passes &
84 - 84
Free
1 - 1
Corners
4 - 5
Saves
3 - 3
Tackles
18 - 20
Fouls
4 - 5
no cards were given
What bother me is that he normally scored without pretty much comments, (and by the time I had the possession, smh)
Means the player will be more attacking on the offence and when your team is defending he will stay in his position. Putting red arrow on AMR pretty much means you're playing him as a right striker when you're attacking.
On the squad page, click on the player and you will have a red arrow.
Blue arrow means the player will be more defensive.
From what I can see, the main reason was bad luck with the game engine mixed in with the above points in the general formations.
When the shot stats show those sort of figures it usually means the game engine is interfering, check what positional changes in the league resulted from the result.
Would a 4-5-1 be any good against a flat 5-4-1? if not what would be.
In a Cup final with an opponent of about 31 rating, compared to mine of 34.3.
His formation seems very offensive, but I've never seen it before. Anyone know how to counter it?
------DC------DC---------

-----ST----------ST-------
Against 4-1-3-1-1 ...

Would my formation beat it ?

It's 4-5-1V but my AMR is injured so...
Pls help. What tatics should i use ?
hey.. there's this one guy, he's using 4-5-1 formation :
-------ST--------
------AMC-------
ML----MC----MR
------DMC-------
DL--DC--DC--DR
i've met him fourth times already in several levels and cant even beat him once.
can someone please guide me which formation can counter his formation? because im gonna meet him soon!
THANKS for your immediate reply
........
Hey, I have to beat 4-5-1 Flat.
I tried this:
4-5-1
I haven't faced 4-5-1 flat often, but when I did I used the formation 3-5-2.
3-5-2 against the 4-5-1 flat would be best used with long passing with zonal marking. Attacking tactics should be focused on long balls. This requires a forward with good pace and speed.
4-5-1 is similar to the 4-5-1 V Style... 3-5-2 is also effective against the V style.
but this don't work last time.
I see some matches were 4-4-2 was used, but I don't know the orders.
Any other Ideas how to beat 4-5-1 Flat????
I would like to get advise.

Ignore my post try this
DC....DC...DC
ML...MC... MC....MC....MR
up up
ST.........ST.
attack
both flanks
long balls
no counter attack and no offside.
i also used a 3-5-2 and won 6-0
Cup Final Against 4-3-3 wide. He uses 3 DCs instead of a DL.
ST-ST-ST
ML----MC----MR
---DC-DC-DC-DR
I was thinking of these formations:
1. 4-5-1V -> (both flanks) or 4-1-3MC,MC,ML-1(AMR)-1 -> (right flank)
2. 4-4-2 narrow diamond
What do you suggest? The match is today.
Cup Final vs 4-1-3-2 Wide (Means with ML/MR)
I think I should use 3-2-2-3
-ST-ST-ST
--MC-MC--
DML---DMR
-DC-DC-DC-
What do you think?
I'll answer you only because it's a great match and I hope you won the trophy ;)
If you saw the 1st page you will find this :
4-1-3-2 Wide
4-1-3-2 Wide 3
DL-DC-DC-DR
DMC
ML-MC-MR
ST-ST
Countered by 3-2-2-2-1
DC-DC-DC
DML(UP)-DMR(UP) (If using DL/DR as DML/DMR, remove the red arrows)
MC-MC
AML-AMR (Red arrows if AML/AMR also play as strikers and you want some extra punch)
ST
Short passing, through the flanks, attacking mentality, zonal marking,
pressing whole pitch with offside trap.
OR
Own Half, counter attack, defensive, mixed passing
Other formations known to beat 4-1-3-2 Wide 3:
3-1-4-2 and 3-1-4-1-1 using normal mentality, zonal marking, own half, short passing, normal tackling, no counterattack and no offside trap.
