3-2-2-2-1
--------DC---DC---DC
--DMR------------------DML
----------MC----MC
--AMR------------------AML
--------------ST
Normal, Both Flanks, Own half, Normal tackling, Passing short, Zonal, Force counter.
If you are not winning at H/T put red arrows on AMR/AML and change passing to mixed.
Last 20 minutes if not many chances, or losing.
Attacking whole pitch, passing mixed, remove counter and hit the O/S but I doubt you will need to. :)
try 3 central defender two defender (dml dmr) e central midfielder and two strikers 3-2-3-2
hello guys!
i need some help against this formation.
Attachment 722
which formation and tactics should I use?
Hello,
for my final match in the league I am facing the only person who can keep me from finishing first. He uses the 4-4-2 setup.
The previous game I played against him I used the 4-5-1V formation as stated on the first page of this thread.
It was an away match for me and I lost 4-1. I was wondering if there is any other formation that I can use that will give me the edge.
I need a draw or a win.
Current overall team Quality for me is 27.4, his 23.1.
Stats of the away game:
Possesion
47-53
Shots
16-16
On target
13-7
Succesfull passes
83-79
Free kicks
3-1
Corner kicks
5-8
Saves
2-3
Tackels
25-18
Fouls
9-13
Yellow cards
1-1
I always think that there was the game engine interfering, cause those losses really cause me the first place,
Anyway thanks Accyrover, I hope I can bounce back in the next season.
My Champions League final against a much stronger side (49 vs. my 38), he's playing a 4-4-2. I want to counter with the 4-5-1 V formation (4-1-2-2-1) but I would be playing two out of position. I have a straight MC in the DMC slot because my DMC is on red card; and I am playing a MR in the right MC position because my other MCs are injured and I have two strong MRs.
I don't know how much I am penalized playing an MC at DMC and a MR in the MC spot. Am I better off with just one player out of position and play my second MR (significantly higher rated by 10) in the DMC spot?
Tomorrow i will play a decisive match against a team which has a similar rating as mine.
He uses: 3-2-3-2
ST.....ST
MC.. MC.. MC
DML................ DMR
DC.. DC.. DC
What formation and strategies do you advise me to use? (I notice that his best players are the two strikers,,,, and I used to play with 4 defenders)
Hi, how do you beat this formation please 3-2-2-2-1
-----ST-----
-AML----AMR-
----MC--MC---
-DML----DMR-
---DC-DC-DC---

DL-DC-DC-DR
-DMC-
ML-MC-MC-MR

how to beat this?? any idea?? thx
Hello all, newbie's in need of some help understanding how to build up a formation here.
Say my opponent is using this formation
x---x---x DL/DC/DR
--x---x-- DMC/DMC
x-------x ML/MR
----x---- AMC
--x---x-- ST/ST
Will this formation works against above formation?
x---x---x DL/DC/DR
----x---- DMC
--x-x-x-- MC/MC(up)/MC
x-------x AML(up)/AMR(up)
----x---- ST
You should flip one of them around so that it's easier to compare. :p
I would take one MC and move him to DMC, so that your two DMCs are slightly wide. This will better defend against his two wide midfielders.
I've found ones for a DMC but what about AMC for the 4-3(wide)-1-2?
Should I go 3-2-2-2-1?
I play this team tomorrow. It's the 3-2-3-2 formation but with DL/DR instead of 3 DC's. Will 4-3-2-1 still be ineffective against it?
http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/...psfb9783ee.jpg
What sort of 4-3-2-1 do you mean? MCs with AML and AMR?
3-4-2-1 might be better, considering his lower quality. 3 DCs, flat 4 in midfield, AML, AMR, ST. Looks weird, but no problem with it, it's a legal formation and you'll get down his wings easier.
Hey guys! any tip or help will be much appreciated!
I am facing a really hard challenge! My opponent score is 55, mine 33... 22 points difference! I know its almost impossible, but even having a 1% chance to win i wanna go for it!
My opponent's formation is: Attachment 881
This will give him a really strong middle field and quite strong attack, thou he has a more or leas weak defence. As he is kinda stronger than me, i know he wont think i am a challenge, so he will have attacking mentality, down both flanks, mixed and no counter, maybe offside trap.
To beat this, i was thinking of a defensive formation, i may be able to stop him this way and be lucky and score one (maybe not, but maybe yes). Something like 5-3-2 wide, played in hard defending, through the flanks, long passing (or mixed, not sure), counter, own half. What you think, may this work? I know i have few chances, but i wanna enhance my chances to the max!! :)
Thank you for your replies!!
Yesss... but with 3 DC and 2DMC's i will leave my flanks exposed on def, as he has AMR AML, i have to protect the flanks! As i said i will have MR ML, both with red arrows for counters (i may even put the MC with red ups or make it AMC). Hard tacling, good idea, i have nothing to loose and all to win, ty for the tip :) If i qualify for the next round i will have for maybe 1 or 2 more players then! ^_^
How to win against that formation:
GK
DC-DC-DC
DMC
MC-MC
AMC
ST-ST-ST
I play with them today at 7 p.m.
Ah okok! Got it, even without wingers i will have a DC and a DMC covering the flanks... good, kinda the same, but i put the pressure a bit more up (which i am not sure as he is really strong in the midfield and putting the pressure so up may be counterproductive). Maybe i should put down arrows in the DMC? Even in the MC? Ty for the help!
Any formation will do, I would say 3 DCs with a DMC to cover, and then you can attack however you want, just make sure your formation is legal! His is illegal with no wide players so you will have 80% possession, no need to have too many defenders, just the minimum for the rare occasions when he has the ball.
Its an illegal formation as no wings are there... You will have 80% possession, for this, focus in defending the middle and attack the flanks, a 4-5-1 V should work quite well against it, with AMs motivated (not the DMC thou), mixed, both flanks, attacking/defending depending on levels, own half. But im kinda noob (lvl 4, just won 3 leagues and 1 champions), so wait for more experienced responses :)
Probably butterfly will work good too (3-2-2-2-1) 3 DC, DMR, DML, 2 MC, AML, AMR, ST with AMs motivated, same orders.
I would say yes, blue down arrows for MCs and DMCs, the only red arrows should be on your wide players, AML, AMR, ML, MR, whichever players you have of these should have red arrows. Again, defensive, down both flanks, own half, hard tackling, long passing, zonal, no counter, no offsides.
My suggestion is actually the below:
---------ST----------
AML--------------AMR
ML----------------MR
----DMC------DMC---
----DC---DC---DC----
You are free to rearrange it, maybe move ML and MR to MC so that you have more players with blue arrows. If any players are on the wings, you must put red arrows on them. I suggest blue arrows for all midfielders except red arrows for wide players, no arrows for goalkeeper, defenders and strikers.
**** I wrote that he play 3 DC's
sorry my mistake he play DL-DC-DR
Alright, so a 3-4-3 narrow diamond. Quite similar to the 4-4-2 narrow diamond, the extra ST is placed in between the two other STs so easily marked, and the defence is weaker. Adel's counter for the 4-4-2 narrow diamond is somewhere on the first page of this thread, just use that. :)
Could someone give a tip to win against below strange formation?
Thanks.
--------ST--------
--------------AMR
ML-----MC-----MR
-------DMC-------
DL-----DC-----DR
I think it will be illegal due to three players on the right side, you'll just need minimal defence placed well to deal with his attackers on the rare chances they have to get forward.
----------ST-----------
AML-----------------AMR
ML---MC-------MC---MR
-------------------------
------DC--DC--DC-------
This is what I've come up with, it's odd but players are placed to triple mark all his attacking players while giving you a strong attack down the wings, only his MC is only double marked. You're free to rearrange them slightly.
Attacking/hard attacking, down both flanks, own half/whole pitch, normal tackling, mixed passing, zonal marking. No counter, no offsides. Red arrows on all four wingers, blue arrows on MCs if you feel they are needed.
How do the teams compare btw?
Thanks a lot Potemy
