    DL-DC-DC-DR

The Narrow Diamond is a very effective attacking formation, however the vulnerability of this formation is the lack anything to protect the flanks.

A 4-5-1 V Style formation can take advantage of the flanks of the diamond with an AML and AMR as well as defend against the AMC by using a DMC.

    4-5-1 V Style:

    ---------ST--------
    AML---------AMR
    -----MC--MC---
    ------DMC-----
    DL-DC-DC-DR

Another variation on countering the narrow diamond would be by using the 4-3-2-1:

    4-3-2-1

    ---------ST-------
    AML---------AMR
    ---MC-MC-MC---
    --DL-DC-DC-DR--

Although there is no DMC with the 4-3-2-1 it is still a very effective attacking formation to counter the Diamond with, mainly because of the strong middle as well as having attacking flanks.
If during the match you feel the AMC is taking advantage, then a simple (DOWN) arrow would be placed on the middle MC which in turn effectively would be turning this formation into a 4-5-1 V Style.

yeah but last match vs. him
    with this formation i lost.

Hello tomorrow i play against the first in my league and he is playing this Formation:
    ----ST---ST----
    ------AMC------
    ---MC-MC-MC---
    ----------------
    -DL-DC---DC-DR-
    -------GK-------
He is a little bit stronger then me but not so mutch. I dont have any idea for arrows of him.
    Witch Formation shut i choose?

And at the same day i played in CL against this Formation:
    -------ST-------
    ------AMC------
    ---MC-MC-MC---
    ------DMC------
    -DL-DC---DC-DR-
    -------GK-------
Do you have any idea? He wins the last CL Games like 3 -0 and 5 - 1. I think the opponent hasn't any DMC in his lineup. Witch Formation shut i choose?

Sorry for my English its not very god ! Thank you! Can someone give me a comprehensive Tip for the lineup. 3 - 4 - 3 ist not god for someone how plays with a AMC.

My friend always plays this narrow diamond..I've tried many formations against him 4-5-1 V style 4-0-2-3-1 with amc, amr, aml and lost. Then I tried his own narrow diamond with red arrows on dr and dl and beat him 3-0 with no offside and no counterattack, normal mentality

Guys my next oponent has some real weird tactics...
Normally i find 4-5-1 V style able to beat most formations playing through the flanks, but then i find this:

    ---ST-ST---
    MC-MC-MC
    DML----DMR
    DL--DC--DR

    Can anyone help me?
I was thinking about going 4-5-1
with dl dc dc dr 3 mc 2 amc 1 st
but then i dont know if it will work and need help on the instrutions to team

    plz help

But i was thinking... in the first page the guy has 3 DC... this one has 1 dl 1 dc 1 dr...
I was thinking maybe i can focus 100% on my midfield... What if i go:

    -----ST-----
    AMC----AMC
    MC--MC--MC
    ----DMC----
    DC--DC--DC

    think its good?

I played against this formation twice in the Champions League group stage.

It's basically the 3-2-3-2 formation but with wide defenders.

    I used 3-5-2 V

    -----ST----ST----
    AML-----------AMR
    ----MC---MC-----
    -------DMC-------
    ----DC---DC--DC---

Down both flanks with mixed passing, attacking mentality, no counter, no offside trap, normal tackling and zonal marking

Or if he's better then use defensive mentality with counter attack

    Won 5-0 with that tactic

Illegal Formation! 11 Players on Field without Goalkeeper, but I can confirm a good counter formation if you let the DMC out!
