How to Win Against Any Formation?

Final game of the league later today and wondered if this is a formation anyone has played against or even used.
My opponent has

DML====MC=====MC

But this is the strange bit..from left to right respectivly
dc/dr dc dc/dr

dml/dl mc mc

ml mc mc

NOTHING HERE AT ALL

ST

Mostly 2* and one 3* striker on the bench. However, he is currently 4th in the league, 3 points behind me.
Looking at his previous games, the formation is pretty much how he plays all the time. He is 4th. How?

Try 4 4 2 classic and put red arrows at MR/L ... and red arrows at DR/L ...

no counter attack ... offside trap ... short passing ... whole pitch ... Attacking to win against him you must attack .

i'm still a rookie(manager level 2)
but this is what i would do if i were you

dl--dc--dc--dr
----dmc(up)---
ml-mc-mc-mr
-----st--------
normal mentality, force counter, own half, no offside trap, mix passing, down the flanks...

this is what i would have done... but again im only a lv 2 manager, hope it works for you
this is basically a 4-3-3 if he has arrow on dmc...
so just have more midfielders than him and focus passing down the flanks.
doubt you can go wrong with these 2 key points

You can use 4-3-2-1

---------ST-------
AML---------AMR
---MC-MC-MC---
--DL-DC-DC-DR--

Although there is no DMC with the 4-3-2-1 it is still a very effective attacking formation to counter the opponent with, mainly because of the strong middle as well as having attacking flanks.
If during the match you feel that he is taking advantage in attacking, then a simple (DOWN) arrow would be placed on the middle MC which in turn effectively would be turning this formation into a 4-5-1 V Style.

no counter attack ... offside trap ... down both flanks ... mixed passing (1st half) ... long passing (2nd half) ... Attacking mentality ... whole pitch.

personally i think 4-5-1 v is good against this, since its 1st leg of champions league im thinking:
attacking mentality, mix passsing, own half, down both flanks, no offside, no counter. is this good? and flat formation with no arrows right?

you can use 4 5 1 V with attacking mentality .. mixed passing .. down both flanks ... offside trap (because he has no AMR/L/C) .. no counter attack ... whole pitch so as to take the advantage from the beginning ... and you can put red arrows on AMR/L ...
