How to beat this formation?

So, in my league im 2nd with 54 points, and 1st have 56, it's only 2 or 3 matches before end of season, so i must win in this game.. I can't buy player on MR or AMR with 2-3 tokens, cuz always i lost in auctions, reason? Bad luck or i don't have enough tokens... I prefer formation 3-5-2 Juve style or Ciro Blažević style. I hate modern football, but i prefer and 4-4-1-1.. Any suggestions to beat this formation?

Having the list of your players with roles would help. I fear 3-5-2 might not work depending on how you display your toons.

butterfly seems work well against 4-3N-2-1

use 3-5-2..

ML........MC.....MC.........MR

...............DMC................

......DC.......DC........DC.....

red arrow for one of your ST, and red arrow for your ML & MR

attack mentality, mixed passing, middle or both flank

or use 4-4-2 diamond..

i'd rather go with this formation

3-2-2-2-1:

ST
AML-AMR
MC-MC
DML-DMR
DC-DC-DC

DML/R to counter his AML/R
3 DC to block his lone striker
and AML/R to attack his lack of wing defence
