    Lightbulb Pressing style theory

    Hi everyone,
    I am back with this another great post.There are many types of pressing like "6 second pressing","counter pressing","one-on-one pressing","zonal pressing".But I will only discuss high(whole pitch) and low(own pitch) pressing as they are present in game.

    EXPLANATION:
    Pressing is actually an act of stealing ball from the opponent during which opponent may make mistakes(wrong pass,wrong position etc).It may also create space for counter attacks or one-on-one soccer.

    TRADITIONAL VIEW:
    Pressing also defines opponent mentality,if they are under pressure they will surely make mistakes.It have seen many times that when player see opponent approaching him then he have to pass the ball immediately in few seconds.During this few seconds he can make mistakes.

    HIGH PRESSING(WHOLE PITCH)
    This type of pressing is related with AC MILAN pressing style.During whole pitch press your striker,attacking midfeilder plays important role.
    In high press your player follow even defenders of opponent.High press can also be seen when opponent goalkeeper gets goal kick.
    In this game if you choose high press then your player may get tired.It is combination of low pressing and counter pressing.

    MAIN REQUIREMENTS;
    1: Better speed of attacking players and nice defending points of your attackers.
    2: Balance between players on both side of pitch.
    3: Nice condition of your squad.

    POSITION ROLES IN HIGH PRESSING:
    1: ST-MAJOR
    2: AMC-MAJOR
    3: MC-MAJOR
    4: DMC-NORMAL
    5: AML/AMR-MAJOR
    6: MR/ML-MAJOR
    7: DML/DMR/DR/DL-NORMAL
    8: DC-NORMAL

    EXECUTION:
    The opponent player is presses in whole pitch,any opponent player having ball possession will be followed and attacked by your player.The best option to use high pressing is after half time or when you are playing attacking.

    LOW PRESSING(OWN HALF)
    This is another side of pressing for both attack and defense.It works best with counter attacks on.In this type of pressing opponent player will be pressed only if he enter with ball inside your pitch side.The sole purpose of this pressing is counter attacks.One defender take possession of ball by stealing it and passing it long towards other side of pitch.

    MAIN REQUIREMENTS;
    1: Red arrow(forward) on DMC or any central defender.
    2: Counter attacks on mostly with defensive mentality.
    3: Major number of your players must be present in your pitch.

    POSITION ROLES IN LOW PRESSING:
    1: ST-NOT MUCH
    2: AMC-NOT MUCH
    3: MC-NOT MUCH
    4: DMC-MAJOR
    5: AML/AMR-NOT MUCH
    6: MR/ML-NOT MUCH
    7: DML/DMR/DR/DL-MAJOR
    8: DC-MAJOR

    EXECUTION;
    This may be zonal or one-on-one pressing according to your marking style.The main job is of Defender who snatch ball from opponent player and pass it long way to your attacker.During this pressing your player may allow opponent to play freely in their pitch side.The defense is main key in this type of pressing.
