Abhinavsharma is right about your ST and DMC, they need to be rock solid. Build to have a very talented and also a good bench squad. Never be afraid to rotate your players. A side note, I use this formation most of the time and play it slightly different. The 4 5 1 V is inheritly the real life 4 3 3, so if you play your cards right, you can play attacking, flowing football with it as well. Since it boasts a lot of players in midfield, you have a huge chance to dominate possesion. I usually play short passes, building on that. And I play my DL and DR with red arrows, unless my opponent has an AML/AMR. Here is a screenshot of my "default"(varies from opponent to opponent) tactic with the 4 5 1 V:
