I say if his opponent gets the ball they'll get the goals with the thin defense. Attacking mentality and high pressing can keep the ball in his attacking third. Yes, defensive attacking mentality might work once he's got the lead, or if opponent can take more than 60% possession. I would make that switch under those circumstances, but otherwise rely on the strong midfield to apply good constant pressure on the ball deep in opponents area.
