How to counter 4-4-2

as I said, I'll post the result here, its my game result



my setting using 4-5-1v form is normal mentality, both flanks, press own half, normal tackling, with counter attack

ok .. played 4-1-4-1 vs 442 with same quality team .. i win 6-0 and he was watching.. next match lost 2-3 facing another team same quality who didn't watch .. explain that to me? this game has no logic at times
